INTRODUCTION
Communication is the process in which people interact for sharing information or data it
may be two or more than that. In organisation, it is important to have proper pathway of
communication so that important required data can be shared and goals can be achieved (Bădin
and et. al., 2016). Their is proper communication process which must be follow within
organisation i.e., sender encoding message, the channel decoding, noise of receiver and
feedback. So that, necessary data or information can be transfer proper as well as completely. It
is the term which have high level importance for job satisfaction and also in the enhancement of
overall job performances also.
This report is going to explain principles and purposes the HR director needed to be
consider while implementing communication strategy. Along with this, General characteristics of
effective listeners as well as speakers are discussed. It is also highlighting own strengths and
weaknesses in relation to the communicating.
LITERATURE REVIEW
As per the views of Richard Sexton and Virginia Staudt, 2010 Business communication is
getting much attention in some past years. From several research it has been identified that an
organisation must have to implement communication strategies in proper manner for sharing
information and achieving its goals. There is requirement for two way communication in order
to exchange ideas. For fulling gap within manager and other staff members there is requirement
of top to bottom and bottom to top communication.
As per the views of Vinicius, Paulo and Heitor, 2016, communication is important factor
which directly gives wide impact on the success of an organisation or particular project. But still
companies not focusing much on the communication skill of staff members. Moreover, in
organisation communication is needed at every stage of business for communicating with
internal as well as external stakeholders.

Because lack of clarity in strategy may result in affecting entire organisation process in
negative manner. Principle of informality - Communication strategy is primarily designed for making
communication procedure easy so that each and every staff member can interact with the
top level executives easily. Principle of consistency – This principle state that, communication strategy should be
consist as well as implemented along with the policies and plan. HR director of Sport
Love should have to consider respective principle at the time of developing
communication strategy because it assist in sharing important information at the time of
requirement.
Principle of timelines - As per the principle HR director of Sport Love have to
implement strategies on time (Srinivasa and Deka,2017). So it will result in timely
transferring of important information and data as well as easy work going.

understanding important information in proper manner (CHEN and YAO, 2015). Their are some
characteristics of listener as well as speaker which help in reducing communication barriers are
as follows :-
Characteristics of effective listeners
Ignore distractions: Their are many distracting things which must be ignore by the
listener so that they can understand sharing information or any other important thing in
proper manner.
Check body language of speaker: It is main characteristic of an effective listeners that
they examine speaker each and every discussing points as well as other also such as body
language. Along with this, listener analyse gesture and posture also of speaker because it
shows confidence level, hesitation, over confidence and so on. Understands the speaker: It is important for an listeners to firstly understand the
speaker so that what he/she is speaking can be easily understandable. HR director of
Sport Love is suggested to build such characteristic in each and every staff members so
that they can understand all the information shared by the individual as speaker in
meeting.
Characteristics of effective Speaker
Authenticity: It is important for speaker to deliver only authentic information so that
only valuable or necessary things will be transfer to the listeners. This characteristic give
positive result in the image of speaker and also in organisation by sharing suitable
information or data related to the factors which are given in the speech.
Excitement: When a speaker deliver speech with excitement than it will result in
boosting up the excitement of listeners also (Kolarik, 2016). But if their is over
excitement in speaker or listener it may give negative impact on the overall meeting
program.
Confidence: For an speaker it is very crucial to have confidence on the face as well as in
voice tone also. So that, all the listeners of Sport Love carefully listen and understand
information discussing by speaker. Because level of confidence directly reflect on face

2016). Thus, HR director of Sport Love have to build or boost confidence in all the staff
member's. So that, they can easily communicate with each other as well as with top
executives and share their views.
TASK 2
3. Strengths and weaknesses in terms of communicating
Every individual have some strength and weakness same as me also in term of
communication. Some of my strength and weakness are as follows :-
Strength
Confidence level – In relation to the communication it is important to have confidence in
individual. I have good confidence level which help me in giving presentation, becoming
speaker in meeting at Sport Love company in front of numerous people. Good communicator skills – My this strength make me comfortable while working with
several number of employees in team as well as also with others working in Sports Love.
With the assistance of my respective strength I am capable of delivering the important
message given by top level manger with other employees.
Weakness
Using technical words - This is one of my major weakness which I have to overcome as
so that I can communicate in proper manner and share necessary information. Use of
more technical words while taking with team members result in creating problem.
Because sometime team member are not skilled as well as English is not their domestic
language. Thu, I have to make sure that I will not use technical words which result in
miss communication.
Different languages – This is one of my weakness which is want to come out because in
business clients are from several countries and having different languages as well as
culture. So, for overcoming with this major weakness I had joined some classes of
different languages such as Germany, Spanish etc..

3. Strengths and weaknesses in terms of communicating
Every individual have some strength and weakness same as me also in term of
communication. Some of my strength and weakness are as follows :-
Strength
Confidence level – In relation to the communication it is important to have confidence in
individual. I have good confidence level which help me in giving presentation, becoming

the communication strategy and result in achieving goal of Sport Love. It is important to have
effectual listener and speaker's in the meeting because it will result in making effective
decisions. Hence, overall business communication is very important for the each and every
employees in the organisation at every level. Although, communication skills play important role
in the life of every individual as well as in taking better position in competitive market.
