sustainable manner.

In the current competitive world, the consumers have become more conscious relating to

necessary as the resources within the working environment are very limited and users of these
resources are also very limited and it is the duty of the company to work in sustainable manner.
This is particularly because of the reason that if the company will use the resources and other
factors of production in effective manner then this will motivate consumer to buy the product
(Symonenko and et.al., 2020). The reason underlying this fact is that when companies will be
optimally using the resources and will be taking care of the environment and society then this
will attract more of the consumers.
For Next Plc it is essential for the company to include sustainable business practices
within the operations of the company. The major reason for this is that when the company works
in ethical and sustainable manner then this assist the company in managing the business in
effective manner and secure long term growth and development. Further with this sustainable
business the company can also attract more of the consumer. The major reason underlying this
fact is that when the company takes care of environment and society then this attract consumer
and they attracted towards company and its product and services (Symonenko and et.al., 2020).
Furthermore, this also increases the profits of the company and company can earn more money
with the sustainable business.
Another major reason for this is that the current trend among consumer is to make use of
the environment friendly product and services and goods which are made up of natural and
organic and healthy products (Tura, Keränen and Patala, 2019). Thus, if Next Plc will make use

of the recent trend then this will attract more of the consumer and this in turn will increase the
profits of company.
For instance the company Next Plc is using and following all the sustainable
development goals and also the company is working in protecting the environment. For this
company has tried to reduce the electricity consumption by 32 % since the year 2007. Further
also the company has achieved 35 % of reduction against the carbon reduction which is still has
a target till 2030. Also, the company has fitted LED lights as a standard in all the stores whether
new or existing has to be followed. Furthermore, the company has also installed Solar PV in
small number of stores and also in the head office in order to save the electricity (Corporate
responsibility report 2020).
With these entire examples it can be recommended that though it has increased the cost
of company for one time but this will result in gain for longer period of time. This is the major
reason for the company to make effective use of the sustainable working for ethical future
(Symonenko and et.al., 2020). This will also assist company in developing goodwill and secure a
good position in the highly competitive market.

From the above report it is clear the if company goes for ethical and sustainable working
then this will increase the profits of company.
