This essay is based on communication technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT)
which is the most trending technology of this digital era. To do so, two articles have been
chosen for narrating upon the IoT creating as well as big problems with the IoT.
Article I
The article written by (Maddox, 2018), is all about IoT benefits for this digital world
businesses. In addition to that, the concept of IoT has been discussed in detail with the help of
IoT-related jobs, IoT security risks, how industries and smart cities are utilising IoT, and
more. The most important part of this article is that it does not only cover positive aspects of
IoT but also covered the major problems the IoT creating in many fields. The author
suggested that IoT is a giant network of objects which connect to the internet. Here, while
using IoT each device gathers data, which is also known as big data, is typically exchanged as
well as analysed in depth. Based on the article findings, it can be said that security risks are
one of the biggest problems caused by IoT. Apart from this, digital illiteracy creates several
problems in the implementation process of IoT in the field of businesses worldwide. As per
the article was written by (Maddox, 2018), some other problems which have been created by
the IoT are as follows:
 Severe security issues
 Internet walls
 Privacy concerns
 Difficulty in understanding IoT
 Cloud attacks
 Data Breaches
 Lack of knowledge and thereby confidence in people

The article written by (Roe, 2018), is all about problems caused by IoT into this
millennial era. The author has used a challenging or sarcastic tone throughout the article as
big problems with IoT have been discussed in this research paper. Based on this article, IoT
may have 50 billion connected devices by 2020, but I will only be successful from all sides
when problems or challenges associated with the IoT will be addressed effectively. In

addition, IoT use is greatly suggested for the upcoming generation as IoT is interesting for
modern enterprises. However, walled-off internet will create key problems for
implementation of this concept all across the world. The study has discussed cloud attacks as
the huge amount of data will run the IoT that needs to be stowed in the cloud with the help of
cloud computing. In the war of successfully implementing IoT, cloud providers will be major
targets. Moreover, the tone of this article suggests that AI-based IoT security issues are
critical to be addressed soon.
In this way, a study conducted by (Roe, 2018) has suggested that issues such as botnet
problems, understanding IoT effectively, lack of confidence, limited AI and most importantly
limited internet by the walls will play a significant role in future while using IoT for the
betterment of the society and business world.
