Communication in Organization
Communication is the only way to interact with each other whether it is a business
conversation or personal one. Hence there are many types of business communication
theories, which play an important role in an effective communication between employees and
the management of the company (Littlejohn & Foss, 2010). For an example, after rules and
regulations communicated to all of the employees, all employees of an organization are
bound to follow them, because they are set for some purpose. In this way, communication
helps in making the system of an organization comfortable and ideal for all of the employees
while working (Summers & Smith, 2010).
Coming to the main essay question, which is related to the application of different business
communication theories, I will attempt to understand a live communication setting event so
that practical implementation of effective communication can be introduced here. Writer
wants to quote a real life example of the communication event which is clearly having an
application of some great communication theories (Austin & Pinkleton, 2015). There was a
business meeting in our office for the upcoming product launch of our organization where all
our senior managers as well as the CEO of the company were present for discussing about all
the details of the upcoming product and its launch. Additionally, there was an interaction
between the CEO and Media regarding announcement for the upcoming product launch
(Management Study Guide, 2017). This was the communication event where I have seen that
below listed communication theories were easily applicable and seemed useful:

were sitting at one side of the conference room and two persons including the CEO of our
company and on media representative were sitting at the front side. I could see the difference
between verbal, vocal as well as visual communications and their reciprocals with the help of
conversation between media person and our CEO. The way CEO was answering all the
queries of media person, was using effective verbal, vocal, visual, and non-verbal

could not even observed the meeting time was over. At the same time, the media
representative was an active listener, aware of paralanguage lying in silence as well as
capable of reading facial communications. During the whole conversation at one instance,
media person asked a question regarding the new product that from where you got the
inspiration of launching this complete new budget product into the market. At that time, the
CEO was talking to his inner-self and evaluating the correct answer towards the question so
that his self-esteem can be preserved by conquering communicative competence.
Moreover, I learnt many more things related to an effective business communication with the
help of the way of putting questions and answering them by the two persons communicating
with each other. I observed that active listening gives you the power to answer any question
or query efficiently and correctly. Besides, the attribute of active listening was resent in both
of the persons, which was enhancing their capability to engross as well as pass on the info
and data specified during the communication exchange. I can suggest that through developing
communication skills and techniques of actively listening great communications will provide
the listeners better empathy and clarity. From the CEO of our company, I learnt many things
in that one conversation which were teaching effective business communication. His great
communication skills were helping him out in following ways:
Helping him for building and strengthening the team in organization (Keller, 2013).

gain an efficient performance, the effective business communication is an important tool for
both management and employees of an organization. Hence, by using distinct traditional
methods, we can easily understand the efficient ways of effective business communication.
Some communication theories like active listening, self-identity, and body-language, verbal
and non-verbal communication are generally known as the well-known communication
concepts. Additionally, my opinion has been built after observing this communication event
that business communication theories more often provide us a path for making a road map for
a business organization.
