Acceptance Theory of Authority:
This theory was propped in the year of 1938 by Chester Branard through his book The
Functions of the Executive which was his major contribution where he argued that there are
primarily three functions that serve within an informal organization and consists of
communication, maintenance of cohesiveness in the formal organization along with maintaining
feeling relative to personal integrity and self-respect. In addition to this, Branard also provide a
bottom-up approach of authority along with communication process. He suggested that
