As stated by Stanton, communication breakdown is an important issue that the different
corporations commonly face and in serious cases this can adversely affect the corporations by
hindering the transfer of adequate information to the concerned individuals. Liebel et al. are of
the viewpoint that this is a common problem that the women leaders or for that matter the
women managers commonly face when they have to transfer information to the employees or the
other individuals within the corporation. More importantly, it had been seen that there are
various ways through which the communication process within a particular corporation can
break down. For instance, the ineffectiveness of the communication model or for that matter the
communication process which is being used can significantly contribute towards the breakdown
of communication (Blaschke and Schoeneborn). Another important factor which could
contribute to communication breakdown is the ineffectiveness of the sender to clearly convey the
required message or the information to the receivers. Furthermore, it had been seen that the
usage of too much jargon rather than focusing on the actual relevant information is another
important factor which could contribute towards the breakdown of communication (Lillico). In
addition to these, some other factors which could contribute towards the breakdown of the
communication process within the corporations are the usage of a closed line of communication
with no scope of collecting feedback from the receivers of message or information, the
ineffective usage of effective communication strategies and others (Bano, Zowghi and
Sarkissian).
Harris and Sherblom are of the gender is an important factor which affects the
effectiveness or for that matter the efficiency of the communication process which is being used
by the business corporations for the transfer of information from one department to another. For
instance, it had been seen the effectiveness of any communication model or communication

process greatly depends on the ease with which the senders of the information or for that matter
its users are being able to use the same (Dunaway). However, in the particular context of the
majority of the women it is seen that they sometimes find it difficult to effectively use the
communication model or the communication process which is being used by the different
corporation and this might result in the breakdown of the entire communication process itself
(Blaschke and Schoeneborn). Furthermore, it had been seen that the women managers or the
women leaders in their endeavor to be nice or polite with the receivers of the information often
fail to convey the actual message which once again can led to the breakdown of communication
(Liebel et al.). More importantly, the attempt on the part of the women leaders or the women
managers to be nice or polite often propels them to use too many jargons because of which the
receivers are not being able to understand the actual message which results in communication
breakdown (Lillico). In addition to these, the women leaders or the women managers generally
use a closed line of communication and thereby do not collect feedbacks from the receivers of
information because of the fear of receiving criticism or backlash and this can also contribute
towards the breakdown of communication (Bano, Zowghi and Sarkissian).
