INTRODUCTION
Community development comprises two words such as community and development as
community is known as the cluster of group that have some knowledge or degree regarding
sharing a common way of life as well as living within a contiguous area. Such members have
feeling regarding belongingness as well as sense of common membership. Present Report
focuses on Open a school for children whose age is 0 to 12 years within Western region of
Adelaide (Che, 2018).

Here, a project of building a school in West region of Adelaide is undertaken for age group
of 0 to 12 years old (CFC) children. The purpose of school is to give them basic education as
child's education means grooming of child, enhancing his or her knowledge, exposing them to
several ideas as well as introducing them to environment around them. As there are several
stages of education such as Pre- Primary stage which is known as the foundation of children's
skills, behaviour and knowledge. It provides the development of children at the basic level so
that they are ready for future within higher classes. As opening a school and providing
educations means to develop the whole community as education transforms life of children
through aiding them overcome poverty. It also leads to enhanced income opportunities as well as
better health. Without it, several children remains trapped within a life of hardship and poverty.
A Society that is well-educated feels a higher sense of trust and unity in the community. It also
reduces child marriage, Gender relied Violence, Promotes equality and empowerment. In
addition to this education also provides cognitive, emotional and mental development of child
and makes them more productive, better communication, critical thinking skills and many more.
How you will engage with the community
The communities are sceptical of outsiders in order to improve the community there is a
need to provide the basic services (Islam, 2017). The first and foremost image is information
sharing as it is consider as two way process and in opposite to it just gives information that can
be known as flow of information within one way from government or other authority. Second
stage regarding community engagement is consultation. It is considered another two-way process

where other service provider seeks the views of clients, citizens or communities on programmes
or services that impact them directly or within which they have the significant interest. Thus the
level of engagement extend the higher levels as the amount of participation of the community
enhances and so does the empowerment of community. As Empowerment is a process where
communities or people gain self-esteem, gain confidence and ensures the various action and
power to articulate their concerns in order to address them. Each Successive level able
communities to be empowered participants and enables communities in order to be more active.
All of them having a great voice as well as great impact within the policies of decision-making,
practices, programmes. At the level 5 which is at highest level the community takes over the
control and management of the project.
What are the aims and objectives of this project?
The main aim of project is to build a school in West region of Adelaide is undertaken for
age group of 0 to 12 years old children. Also, objective is to educate them for their social, mental
and physical development. Besides that, to enhance their lifestyle this project is executed.
What strategies will you employ in order to facilitate the project?
It is necessary to ensure that project goes in smooth way. This is because it enable in
completing it within time. Thus, for that there are effective strategies within community that can
be followed. They are mentioned below:
Policy change or social planning – Locality developments focuses basically working together
process, as social planning focuses on getting outcomes (Theodos, Stacy, and Ho, 2017). That
means it focuses on solving particular issues. Also delivering products and services as well as
avoids of those services duplication are vital ends within such type of firms. Also social planning
considered as more scientific to facilitate project.
Social action organising- Here members of the particular group often those who are
discriminated low regarding economic ladder and after that have as individuals little voice. As
they come together in order to make several demands on the larger community for equal
treatment and increased resources.
Coalitions are considered as wide groups so that it brings people together as well as firms from
all over the community that includes several people that may not normally together. Such as a
coalitions working in order to enhance awareness of opening a school, improving children life,
etc. within whole community together from the health department that represents from business

leaders, young people, faith community. Also, the power regarding coalitions comes from idea of
strength within numbers that also brings together several diverse individuals provides power to
make several changes that one want.
When focusing on such four strategies for community it is considered as very clear that these
strategies are not completely different from each other. Here a group that can be mostly
concerned alongside the process regarding community project of building school. Several result
they want to accomplish that as well as they use number of strident tactics of social action in
order to accomplish such outcomes.

The school will be completed within 1 year as total one year is required to open the school

Goal attainment report- To know whether proposed community changers were truly achieved or
not for that one of the best way to do a goal attainment report as for that staff members needs to
keep track of the date each time a change in community within one's action plan that can takes
place. After that compiles by someone such information.
Behavioural surveys- These surveys aids to find out what sort of risk behaviour individuals are
taking part within it as well as level from where they belong.

As leaders within community, people on staff are considered as key participants have knowledge
that can really make use of. In order to get viewpoints interviewing them within history can aids

The project required a specific budget so that accordingly resources are allocated. Thus,
budget will be around $25000. In addition, there is need to finance project to acquire funds. So,
local government will responsible for managing of project. They will provide funds and capital
for building school in that region. Government is crucial source as they are responsible for
community development (Curcija, Breakey. and Driml, 2019)

There need to be a systematic reporting process to be followed. It is because it enable in
effective sharing of data and info and maintaining project progress. Besides that, reporting
ensure that project is moving in right direction and if require any change then it is done.
Moreover, reports shows that how much percentage project is complete, cost, incurred, etc.
Likewise, for present project as well reporting process will be preparing monthly report by
manager and submitting it to various stakeholder that is local government, community, etc. the
process will be low to high authority. Here, data gathered for project will be cost used in it
(Islam, 2017).
CONCLUSION
Hereby, it is summarised that a community development project is undertaken of building a
school in West region of Adelaide is undertaken for age group of 0 to 12 years old (CFC)
children. The strategies for facilitate project is social planning, Coalition etc. the communities
will be engaged by meeting with local leaders, authorities, etc. so that project needs can be
communicated to them. The school will be built within 1 year and overall budget required is
$25000.
