Introduction
The problems of US community people is one of the crucial issues that affects most of
the community members in the country and in this regard it can be stated that due to this
problem persisted in the community the students are also affected along with the other people of
the community of US. This essay tries to address the perspective of three different people of the
society on this community problem and along with this a brief comparison on the perception of
these viewpoints are also analyzed in the later part of the essay.

Health/Illness Beliefs, Values, Attitudes and Practices
As a Mayor of the city it is my duty to take care about the overall growth of the city and also
to protect all of my residents from any kind of health related problems. Therefore, I believe
that in most of the cases, the community members can easily prevents the diseases and health
related problems if they show a little awareness towards the health problems and take adequate
actions to prevent those disease. However, it is also true that sometimes we are also unable to
transmit proper knowledge among the people and as a result it may possible that the people
show negative attitudes towards a specific health related conditions and it can cause terrible
harm to the people of the society. Moreover, the values and believes towards a specific health
conditions can also affect the overall community people of the society. Fortunately, as a
Mayor, I am very lucky in that case that I hardly faced such issues related to beliefs of the
people regarding a specific health conditions due to the literacy rate of my city. In most of the
cases I found that the people have serious attitudes towards a specific disease and thus they are
capable of maintaining safety practices towards a serious health disease. However, I have
personally seen serious cases of heroin addiction among the youths of the society and this
problem has greatly affected the health of the youths. I came to know about the fact that in my
country almost 78 persons die in a day due to this drug addiction specifically opioid over use.
Therefore, I believe that this drug addiction also affects the family members of the drug addict
people in the country.
Community Strengths
While discussing the strengths of my city, I can say that the use of technology is the strengths
of my city as in most of the services, we are able to install the digital systems and thereby the
lives of the people become easier. In my cities, most of the schools have installed the smart

classroom facilities and as a result the students are now easily can access all the things
instantly. So, I can say that overall improvement of the education of the students will also
enhance the overall wellbeing of the community and it will also help to improve the
knowledge of the community people regarding the health needs of the people. Moreover, the
diversity is strength of the community people of my city as people of different community live
together in my city and as per my experience I cannot remember any incidence related to the
community war in my city. Therefore, any kind of racial discrimination related incidents are
also not reported in my city.
Community Needs
While discussing about the needs of the community people, it can be stated that need of the
housing is one of the major requirements of my city. As a mayor, it is my duty to address this
problem and I admit that I need to work more on this matter. I need to make the housing
affordable to all of the people of the society so that each and every people can access the basic
needs of having their own house. Due to this issue of homelessness, the requirement of
affordable house has become a major issue in my city.
Another requirement of my city is associated with the level of infrastructure in terms of health
needs that is I believe that in order to gain the maximum health outcome I need to emphasize
on the development of the infrastructure of the health facilities so that every people of the
society can have the primary health facilities. Along with this, I also need to develop the
transport system of my city so that active and safe transportation can be provided to all the
people.
Level of Safety
As a part of the safety of the community people of the society, it can be stated that the issue of
safety is a major concern for me as issue of public safety is degrading from a last few a years.
Therefore, community safety is a major concern for my city due to the increased amount of
crime in the city. Therefore, I can say that I need to enhance the security of the city so that the
amount of crime in my city can be reduced.
General Concerns
In spite of all these issues, I can say that I need to concentrate on the issue of homelessness
and security of the people for the overall development of the city.

Health/Illness Beliefs Values, Attitudes and Practices:
Being a police officer of this city, I hardly take care about the facts related to the health
conditions of the people. However, being a sincere resident of the city I think it is my duty to
perceive adequate knowledge regarding the health condition of the community people of my
city. I found that in most of the cases, the government and the local authority needs to take

care all the health related issues of the society and it is the duty of the government to take
adequate actions to improve the health related outcomes. Therefore, from my personal
experience, I can say that people’s personal beliefs and attitudes towards a specific disease
condition are associated with the adverse health consequences. In this context I want to
mention the fact that local authorities and government have taken adequate actions to address
all the health related problems in the city.
Community Strengths:
Being a police officer I have to interact with a lot of people in my city and most of the time I
find that the main strength of the community people is capability of their adapting nature that
is in spite of diversity they manage to live together in a peaceful manner. In my career I only
remember one to two cases of racial discrimination in my city. In this city people of different
community live together and they never indulge in community related fights among
themselves. In this regard, I can say that this unity among the different community people is
the strengths of the city.
Community Needs:
As a part of the needs of community, I can say that being a police officer I have to face a lot of
issues among the people. Moreover, as a part of my duty I go to a lot of places around the city.
I noticed that the main issue related to the needs of the community is associated with the issue
of poor housing. I have found that due to the issue of unemployment in the country most of
the people are unable to afford their own house and thereby the issue of homelessness has
become a serious issue for the city. In this context, I believe another major requirement is
proper employment of the individuals of the society as it can help in multiple ways in the
context of overall improvement of the society.
Level of Safety
As a police officer I am responsible for managing the safety issues of the city and I can assure
the fact that the safety issues of the city are well managed and they are in the right track. As a
part of this I noticed a few cases of safety breaching, but my department was able to solve all
the cases within a quick period of time and there is no need to concern regarding this issue of
safety of the people of my city. Although there are a few cases of crime, still I can tell that the
overall condition is not so serious in my city.
General Concerns:
So, I can say that the issue of unemployment and poor housing of the people of the community
are the major concern of this city.

Health/Illness Beliefs Values, Attitudes and Practices:
I believe the issue of health related beliefs and values of the people are highly associated with
the health status of the society. In this regard, I feel the values and beliefs sometimes restrict
the use of modern technologies in the health care sectors of the country. However, such
instances are very less as per my knowing and I have observed that people do not access all the
health care facilities due to the lack of their knowledge related to that health related problem.
In this context, I believe government should take proper initiatives and should arrange
awareness program for enhancing the awareness among the people so that they can have
proper knowledge regarding that health care services. Moreover, all the people should show
positive attitudes and practices towards the health care services of the country so that they can
easily avail all the services and thereby the overall health conditions of the community people
can be improved.
Community Strengths:
As per my knowledge, I can say that the level of education among the people of the
community is the main strength of this community. As a teacher, it is quite easy to track the
progression of the education of the community people. Therefore, I believe that the level of
education is quite satisfactory and the local government is doing well in managing the
education part of the society. The improved level of education can help in the overall
improvement of the society as well.
Community Needs:
The main need of the community is associated with the issue of housing as I have observed
that a huge number of people in the country do not have their own house. Day by day, the
numbers of this homeless people are also increasing. I feel that due to poor economic
condition of the country, people do not have adequate amount of wealth and so they are unable
to afford a house.
Level of Safety:
In terms of safety level of the country, I believe that there is a lack in terms of safety of the
people of the society. Personally I feel the people are not at all secure and the chances of
terrorist attack are always there. A few cases of terrorist attacks in the country validated my
beliefs. So, I can say that the level of safety must be improved.
General Concerns:
My only concern is related to the security of the people of my society as there is always a
threat of terrorist attack to the people of the society.
Summarization of Community Member Interviews

From the interview sections of the community members the researchers are able to identify a
few areas of needs of the people of the society. In that context, it can be stated that the foremost
areas of community awareness are mainly level of education, issue of safety, unemployment
related issue, issue of homelessness and usefulness of the technology in the society.
From the statement of the Mayor it can be easily stated that he thinks the issues of health care
related problems can be easily prevented by showing show a little awareness towards the health
problems and take adequate actions to prevent those disease. Moreover, the values and believes
towards a specific health conditions can also affect the overall community people of the society.
In case of mayor, it is stated that the people have serious attitudes towards a specific disease and
thus they are capable of maintaining safety practices towards a serious health disease. This same
perception is also identified from the interview sessions of the police officer as the police officer
believes people’s personal beliefs and attitudes towards a specific disease condition are
associated with the adverse health consequences. In this regard, the viewpoint of the police and
the teacher is same as both of them believe that government should take proper initiatives and
should arrange awareness program for enhancing the awareness among the people so that they
can have proper knowledge regarding that health care services. In terms of community strengths
both mayor and the police showed same intend as they both believe accepting the diversity of the
community is the strength of this community. In terms of community needs, all the members
believe that poor affordable housing is a basic need of the people of the society. In terms of
safety levels of the society, it can be stated that both teacher and the Mayor think that the safety
level should be improved.
Dissimilarities

While discussing about the dissimilarities of the interview sessions, it can be stated that in
terms of safety levels the police officer only have showed positive response and other two
members showed negative intend towards this issue of the society. Apart from the Mayor,
anyone did not raise any issues regarding the infrastructure of the health facilities of the society.
Moreover, only the police officer showed positive intend towards governments initiatives
regarding the health awareness and rest of the two believe government should work more on the
health care facilities. The police officer thinks that local authorities and government have taken
adequate actions to address all the health related problems in the city. On the contrary the mayor
believes that that sometime the government fails to transmit proper knowledge among the people
and as a result it may possible that the people show negative attitudes towards a specific health
related conditions and it can cause terrible harm to the people of the society.
