INTRODUCTION
Community development project is a sustainable instrument that helps to enhance the
living condition of people and upgrading the economic status of different group of communities.
The objective of this project is to look after and make precaution for the unprivileged or
disadvantageous group of society via adequate planning and implementation of plans. For the
better understanding of topic Solidarities International topic has been selected which is basically
non profit organisation. The role of respective organisation is to look after the basic need and
support the weaker section of society that have faced natural disaster or conflict. This
presentation contain the analyses of community development project for the better performance
of project (Arensberg, 2017).
MAIN BODY
Community of project development
Solidarities International strengthen the condition of local community by taking
emergency actions and support the people by helping them to recover from life threatening
situation caused due to natural calamity. The organisation mainly concentrate on the sanitation
facility by offering clean drinking water and food facility to the local resident. The company
assist the local community to gather their inner strength and withstand in order to bounce back
against the crises and lead the normal life by facing the obstacles successfully.
The reasons for project
The main reason for the functioning of an organisation or preparation of project is natural
calamity that destruct the lives of the people and leave them homeless (Solidarities International,
2018). Like approximately 345 of the destruction takes place due to flood and over last decades
such disaster destructed the lives of around 317 million people. So basically, the reason of
project against natural disaster is to incorporate the risk and make numerous schemes in order to
maintain the suitability. The purpose of such schemes is to identify the destruction that can be
caused and effectively take the precaution to reduce the negative implication or chances of such
disaster within stipulated time period. For instance, within the drought areas of Kenya the role of
community development project is to create adequate water management communities so that
local community do not bear from the scarcity of water.

Key stakeholders
There are various stakeholder such as government and local communities that affect the
functioning of Solidarities International in order to attain the long term objective. For instance,
government are the local authorities so while developing any project the project manager of
respective company needs to deal with local authority and work on the environment issue. Along
with they the receive the full fledged support of legal body in order to minimise the chances of
natural calamity (Green and Haines, 2015) Within many countries the respective company forms
the strategic alliance with local institution or association with the purpose to enhance their
capability or knowledge and run the programme successfully.
What theory is the project using
Solidarities Internation uses Theory of change for its project where it addresses the
challenging factors sustain within the economy and accordingly help the people to recover faster
and minimise the gap that arises after the destruction within economy. This is basically an
implicit theory that take actions against the risk prevail the the dynamic environment by
determining long term solution for effective functioning.
Was this project successful or not
As Solidarities International is a part of humanitarian organisation where it focuses on the
physiological needs of an individual by assisting the victim who suffered from natural disaster
and help them to recover faster. This lead to the success of project where the company take
voluntary actions and run different programme in order to maintain the culture and manages the
lives successfully (Paton and Johnston, 2017). Therefore, to fulfil the objective it form
collaboration with government and formulate long term solution to safeguard the interest of
community by encountering their problem successfully.
Any other important information
The project of the Solidarities community can only be implemented effectively if it leads
to community empowerment as it is the prime factor on which the company focuses. In order to
do so the volunteers who are the part of project develop, train infrastructure as well as manage
the communicate for the effective implementation. Along with that the company launches
schemes which leads to adequate water management and repair the equipments like pumps and
well digging (Healy and Link, 2012).

CONCLUSION
From the above presentation it has been concluded that the role of community project
development is to ascertain the certain problem that is faced by the local community and come
up with effective solution. The purpose of such projects is to achieve the long term sustainable
development and support the local community in order to enhance their quality of living.
