INTRODUCTION
There are various challenges the community is facing and are required to resolve it out on
an essential basis in order to make the society better place to live in. Some of the major
challenges community is facing are such that adolescent pregnancy and access to clean drinking
water along with the child abuse and neglect and crime which is followed by the domestic
violence and drug use and also the pollution. Moreover, mismanagement of resources and lack of
funding for schools and services along with the ethnic conflict and health disparities which is
followed by the HIV/ AIDS and hunger and also the inadequate emergency services and many
more (Bedson, Jalloh, Pedi and Skrip, 2020).
The following discussion is based on the organization "Maya's Organisation Philippines"
which is a charity and volunteer organization. Report is all about discussing the community
challenges and engagement of society. Description of the entire project and analysing the best
practices of community engagement. Discussion is also made on the relationship between
stakeholders and strategies to engage them via Social media platforms and how social media
platforms used to support project along with the avenues to promote community participation to
enable socio cultural integration and multiculturalism and importance of forward looking
approach by community engagement practitioner to educate community members on internal and
external factors that influence community development with proper conclusion and
recommendations.

Project overview to overcome the challenge
The major community challenge is identified here is the child abuse and neglect because
children are facing the problems such as violence among youth and child labour along with the
transition to adulthood from public care and homeless youth which is followed by the LGBTQ
children and race and culture and also the sexual abuse to children. Project is all about reviewing
the community challenges of child abuse and how it can be overcome along with the description
of organization who are involved in such activities and manages the projects to face the problems
of child abuse. Strategies which charity and volunteer organizations holds in such cases are
volunteering the time in all these activities and discipline the children thoughtfully along with the
examining the assorted behaviour and educating own self and others as well which is followed

by the teaching children their rights and supporting prevention programs and also the gaining of
knowledge that exactly what is the child abuse. Moreover, knowing the alert signs in order to
seek help and by reporting the abuse in the surroundings along with the investing in kids for
bright future. All these are the project overview to overcome the child abuse challenges in
regards of maximum community engagement with the undertaking (Epstein, Sanders, Sheldon
and Hutchins, 2018).
Description of project
Organisation chosen for the project of child abuse is "Maya's Organisation Philippines".
It is one of the charitable and voluntary organization which aims to protect children against
sexual abuse. It is located in London Borough Of Newham. Organisation has several objectives
such as children's charity and saving their children along with the local and international goals
and stopping sexual abuse of children which is followed by the requirements of volunteers and
charitable donations. Moreover, project is all about to increase the awareness in order to prevent
the child sexual abuse so that the establishment of shelter for holistic healing of sexually abused
children can be accomplished. They have the project goal that they will not let the children to
suffer in silence, they are here to support the children. Another aim of the project is to provide
hope to survivors and victims in order to prevent future abuse. But the project is majorly based
on the community engagement regarding the project entitled so that maximum number of
participation can be conducted by the organisation (Dostilio and Welch, 2019).

There are various principles which are adopted by the organization in order to encourage
the community engagement in the project of child sexual abuse so that more and more number of
people can participate and contribute in the project either with their wealth or some ideas in an
innovative and creative manner. Careful planning and Preparation is one of the community

Recommendations
It is recommended that for the further projects, there are strategies analysed to improve
the community engagement such as giving community members a place to express themselves
and focusing on community moderation along with the segmenting the user base for epic
community development and by bringing the social media following into the own closed
community which is followed by being responsive and making it fun in order to encourage the
members to invest some time and effort and also the welcoming of new members. Moreover, by
using the visual content and making thoughtful decisions with a community manager. Strategies
for project sustainability are suggested in such a way that by starting by assessing the current
project sustainability and developing the sustainability approaches along with the adopting the
sustainability standard and looking for sustainability in partners and vendors (Bowers, 2018).
