INTRODUCTION
Community engagement refers to the process of working collaboratively with the group
of people that are affiliated by geographic proximity, special interest or a similar situation that
addresses the complexity which may affect the well- being of people. This term is a powerful
term in bringing the environmental and behavioral changes. To effectively understand the term
community engagement bank food is to be taken that is reflected as a non- profit, charitable
organization that supply food to those people who face difficulty in fulfill their hunger needs. In
case of food bank, FEEDO NEEDO bank food is to be undertakes that is basically a charity
organization. This report is based on accumulation of my whole experience within the
community engagement so that I would sustain long within the corporate world (James and Al-
Kofahy, 2020). In this reflection of community engagement i had to work under the bank food
that is FEEDO NEEDO where i had led to developing the several skills such as communication
skills, public speaking skills, and engagement skills, presentation skills along with their
application that helps in developing the employability career and also develops day to day life
experience. To sustain for a longer period of time I would focus on developing my skills and
prepare an outline in relation to how other perceive you. The reflection is done by using Gibbs
Model of self-reflection that revolves around 6 stages.
REFLECTION
This study is revolves around the community engagement in which i am involved in a
charity organization that is a bank food “FEEDO NEEDO” that helps me how to work in
collaboration and engagement that further helps me in developing my career within corporate
world. By using the Gibbs reflection cycle i have to discuss my personal experience and range of
skills that I have acquired during this module and in what I can deploy these skills into the
corporate world (Pine and et. al., 2020). The skills are communication skills, engagement skills,
public speaking skill and presentation skill. The Gibbs reflection model focusing on day to day
life and how can I deploy these skills within community engagement. I am using the six stages
of Gibbs reflection for evaluating the information that are associated with in order to present
viable outcomes.

 Description of experience- It is the first stage of Gibbs reflection model that revolves
around the description of experiences that is used to developing the concerned skills. By
using this stage I am going to discuss my experience’s about the acquisition of skills that
are mentioned above which are useful in my corporate working in community
engagement. By involving in the module I would engage in several skills such as
communication skill, engagement skills, public speaking and presentation skill. In this
had a basic understanding of these skills before I involved within the module of
community engagement and attended the classroom. I always had an interest in helping
others and because of this I would focus on these skills highly to engage with the
audience in improving the quality of content that I utter. In this I am deeply interested in
the concept of speaking people and audience to deliver the variety of information and
things (Watanabe, 2021). This helps in developing the skill of employment engagement
by improving the quality of overall skills in an efficient manner. At working in charity
organizations I would able to develop the quality of several skills that are presented
above with effectively interact with my colleagues and seniors during this module.
During the time of attending classroom I would realize that engagement, communication
skill is more efficient if someone understand the concept of public speaking as it reflects
the confidence to do more. In this I also experienced that I am very efficient in engaging
during my learning that I received from the module. In this I had learnt a lot about
engagement skills, communication skill in theoretical manner that develops the public
speaking skills which is very essential at my corporate world while working in
community engagement organization. This skill also creates confidence in me to stand in
front of crowd to creating awareness.
 Feeling and thoughts about the experience- It is the second stage of Gibbs reflection
model that revolve around the feeling an experience that are associated with the several
skills which are needed to get sustainable results in community engagement. The only
thought that was place in my mind at the time of learning the several skills is how these
skills are deploy in my corporate structure in charitable organization. I feel that I had an
issue with public speaking and before analyze the importance of how the public speaking
is important I would focus on overcome my fear during the module (Williams and
Zeman, 2020). During learning and experiencing time I was not feeling comfortable in

the beginning as well. During the module I acquired several necessary theoretical
knowledge that I needed to develop my public speaking skills, presentation skills,
communication skill and combining them with engagement skills in order to deliver the
flawless presentation. At the time of my first presentation I feel nervous because of this I
was stepping out of my comfort zone. In the first activity I used the knowledge that I had
gained from this module that reflects the pretty good results in terms of gaining positive
results in community engagement. At this time everyone appreciate my efforts that
boosted my overall confidence. Hence it was one of the best feelings that I would ever
experience. While working in the FEEDO NEEDO I had to feel good because here my
colleagues and seniors are very supportive that helps me in improving my skills that I
would learn during the module. They supports me to take participate in activities like
interaction with people, creating awareness so that my engagement and communication
skills would be developed along with my presentation skill. In this I feel that community
people demotivates me by not understanding my point effectively but it would be turn in
motivation because of my seniors as they encourage me to practice more to attain the task
effectively.
 Evaluation of experience- It is the third stage of Gibbs reflection model that revolves
around evaluation of experience that I have gained in both positive and negative manner
during the particular module. At the time of learning the at module I need to focus on all
my theoretical knowledge that I needed to developed the several skills such as
communication skills, engagement skill, public speaking skill etc. using this modules I
had learnt the importance of two skills when it comes to developing the future
employability purposes. In this the only thing that I was missed from this module is the
active practice in order to brush all my basic knowledge that deployed on the
employability career (Sprague Martinez and et. al., 2020). In this, presentation skill is that
skill that are very essential to gain remarkable growth in community engagement
organization that helps in building trust of people which is highly important to sustain
within the NEEDO FEEDO. While working in this organization I would involve in
number of activities that needs several skills such as communication skill, presentation
skill, engagement skill, public speaking skills so that targets are attained on time. In this
my classroom learning is very useful where I had received the number of theoretical

knowledge which outlines the growth in the organization and helps in developing the
career within employability field or working under the corporate world. By involving in
this I had taken participate in number of campaigns to overcome my fear of public
speaking. Hence, it is reflected as a positive aspect in my learning that supports in
corporate world to handle the critical situation so that my persona growth is increased. In
this I put more efforts in other activities within FEEDO NEEDO organization to learn
and brush my overall skills using the practical application of the theoretical knowledge
that I had received during the module.
 Analysis- This is the fourth stage of Gibbs reflection model that helps in analyzing self-
reflection effectively and efficiently. This stage is very helpful in order to make sense for
developing a strong outline for drawing conclusion at the next stage that is essential. If I
have to look back at the above stage to analyze the positive and negative aspects than it is
to be analyzed that positive aspects of the situations overshadow more than one obstacles
that I had faced during the module that helps in working in FEEDO NEEDO. In this I had
a keen interest in engaging with people and during the time that I was spend within the
FEEDO NEEDO I learn about the how I can accumulate it with the public speaking skill
that helps in carry my interest towards development of skills that used in sustaining
within the corporate world. This also supports me to come out from fear that I had faced
during connecting with the community people and it also boosts my personal morale. Due
to this I will always grateful to my team and colleagues that helps me in my theory and
practical learning which are deploying within the corporate world.
 Conclusion- It is the fifth stage of the Gibbs reflection cycle that focuses on drawing the
conclusion which is based on evaluation and analysis of the skills and learning
experiences that I had gained by involving in the module and take participate in FEEDO
NEEDO organization (Mehra, Sikes and Singh, 2020). This stage concludes the thoughts
and feelings of my overall experiences that are linked with the acquisition of the several
skills. Considered the criteria of community engagement in corporate world I had noticed
the trend and fashion that are follow is the asking for skills sets and how to communicate
with other people. After involving in the FEEDO NEEDO organization I would realize
that to work in the corporate world I would focus on developing my overall skills. After
involving in the nonprofit organization I had gain several practical skills and knowledge

by using my theoretical knowledge. With the high economic decline in the world there
are many people who cannot fulfill their hunger needs due to this bank food is developing
where lots of people are working to providing food and making a strong connection with
them. In this type of organization I also indulge that helps me to sustain in corporate
world for a longer period of time. I believed that acquiring the several skills that are
mentioned above helps me to step forward in future corporate world and also helps me
throughout my life.
 Action plan- It is the last stage that demonstrate how to deal with similar situation in
future point of view. If I would further involved in the team of FEEDO NEEDO to
perform the activities related to providing food to hunger people I need to focus on my
communication skill and engagement skills as it helps in gather the trust of people so that
distribution of food is easy. If in future I will worked than I will focus on taking decisions
effectively that develops the confident so that task achieved related to sustain in corporate
world is fulfill successfully.
CONCLUSION
This reflective report concludes the several skills such as communication skill,
engagement skill, public speaking skill, presentation skill etc. that are very essential to work
under the corporate world and gain the profitable result in future employability skills. These
community engagement reflective reports concluded that in world where everyone has many
things to do and many things to learn the engagement and public speaking skill comes in handy.
To gain the high profitable results in community engagement above skills are very essential and
a person needs to pay high attention towards it. As public speaking and engagement skill is
highly essential skill that reflects the inner confidence and leadership quality of an individual.
This skill is combined with the communication skill that influence number of people to feel
connected. The accumulation of the several skills helps in summarizing the wise choice that
helps in developing the profitability in corporate world that influence the overall results.
