INTRODUCTION
The business and market sector is changing which too consist of different type of
organisations. Community engagement is important which is needed being adopted so that it is easy
to it is easy to achieve goals as well as objectives within time period. Main aim of this report is to
critically examine and analyse the reflection of previous task 1 based on same topic community
engagement (Algharabat, 2020). UNICEF, which is also to be known as United Nations Children’s
Fund which is United Nation agency responsible for providing development of help to children
globally. It has many subsidiaries such as United Nations, General Assembly etc. Personal reflection
refers to recalling of the past information and making it proper decisions. With changing period of
time, it has become essential to focus on how community engagement has affected the business
sector. This report comprises of various types of theories, models, concept of personal development
and processes.

Reflection on personal experience
In previous task 1, it was seen that the task depicts about the concept of stakeholder
engagement, From own personal experience, I have analysed that it is crucial for me to be aware
and gain relevant knowledge of the how effectively engagement can benefit the performance and
leads to success. This is becoming essential to be active in market as it helps in analysing how to
improve the level of engagement by use of best practices. Personal experience is important to be
reviewed so that further and best practices can be used. Moreover, it is seen that through use of
theories as well as models, personal experience can be easily accessed. With access to personal
experience, I will be able to make proper decisions (Alsina, 2019).
The previous task reflects about how to get engage within community to achieve common
desired goals. So, it was too examined that through working as a team and with other people it is
easier to enhance the importance of a community engagement at workplace. In relation of UNICEF,
I was working as a registered nurse in the organisation I examine the community engagement is
important in this as because they provide social service and help them to achieve higher
development. So with proper consideration of engaging with society and community it is necessary
for them to engage with society and community effectively.
According to my own personal experience, I have analysed that strategies and practices are
required on basis of which it is easier to understand the concept of community engagement.
Moreover, in previous task 1 different types theories and models were too discussed which reflects
the process of community engagement within corporate sector and business. So, to more elaborate

the personal experience, reflective Kolb's cycle is discussed as follows-
Kolb's Reflective cycle
According to this model, it specifies about the learning experience which is needed to be
reflects so that judgement can be made. This model is beneficial to be understood as because it
helps in properly understanding of past reflection in well effective manner. Recalling of information
is essential so that it become easier to adopt the most appropriate type of strategies for business
goals. With consideration of Kolb's reflective cycle, it is easier for me to recall the information in
proper manner and use it in correct way. With reference of this cycle, it comprises of several stages
which are given as follows-
 Concrete experience- It is a first stage in which it sates regarding the analysing and
experience of situation into a physical way. In this it focuses on what the situation is, what
has been seen etc. So, I have faced the situation and analysed that community engagement in
market is more focused with aim reducing level of competition in market. I also feel that to
achieve competitive benefits, it is required for every individual to improve their skills to
work in a team. The experience of situation is necessary to be properly examined as it helps
in accessing to further details at wider scale. Moreover, it is seen that situation of every
individual is different from each other’s (Colomer, 2020).
 Reflective observation- In this second stage, it specifies about the what actually happened
in experience, what failed and were solved. Through this reflective observation, it is seen
that learner is able to focus on the root cause of situation. So, due to difference in culture,
opinion, etc. it is not easy to focus on how to work with mutual considerations. Moreover,
in previous task 1, it was reflected that in UNICEF, individual are unable to participate in
community engagement. This is due to change behaviour of Management towards their
employees. With this stage, observation need to properly reflect as it helps ion analysing of a
reason why the situation occurs.
 Abstract conceptualisation- This is another aspect in which it aims at what could have
been done better to make more improvement. With access to this aspect, learner can easily
make and improve the changes that are essential are needed at all level. So, to improve the
engagement within community I targeted at a gaining more relevant information so that I
can use it in better way and examine the importance of engagement (Culhane, 2018).
 Active experimentation- At this stage, it reflects about practising and applying of new
knowledge into real course of action. It is necessary to be active and also use the experience
in active situation. This is beneficial as it assist in analysing the gained knowledge and

applying it into proper active situations. After the situation has been examined and
encountered, it is necessary to focus on apply the actual strategies into real course of action.
Advantages
 Recall information- It is a main benefit of this cycle as it helps in recalling of information
and on the basis of which students can easily access to information and analyse situation in
proper manner.
 Making decisions- This is another advantage of learning cycle, as it states that with use of
this model it is easy for students to make decisions regarding new as well as old situations.
Limitations
 Time consuming- Main drawback of this model is that to recall information time is needed
at all level. So, I was able to gain and access past experience but time was needed by me.
 Situations are different- This is also drawback of this model is that it cannot be applied to
every situation as every situation is different.
Thus, from above explained model, this has been evaluated that it is crucial to recall the
information in proper manner so that information is properly examined and can be used. It is
analysed that with consideration of this Kolb's model I am able to improve me knowledge and
strength which are beneficial for me to get engage within community in most appropriate way.
Moreover, it become easier for me to develop my practices and use them in efficient manner. The
learning cycle is important and is required to be applied in most appropriate way (Göker, 2017).
Practices for community engagement
From the previous task 1, it was analysed that community engagement is critical concept and
procedure which is to be applied in correct way so that relationship is improved and developed.
So, previously I stated that different kinds of practices were discussed such as involvement
methods, participation, etc. Also, this was examined by use of these practices it was easy for me to
develop more engagement processes. There are wide range of practices and strategies and it is
necessary to use them in proper manner. Further, it is seen that as with use of these practices
benefits can be easily achieved (Kulig, 2018).
I too analysed that online knowledge and sessions are needed to be properly accessed so
that it will be beneficial for me to use my own level of skills so that community engagement can
easily applied in corporate sector.
This is too essential for me to be well aware about the stakeholder role and participation so
that it is easy for me to enhance my participation level in business organisation. As I was working in

Amazon as a team manager, I examined that stakeholders of a company are important part of
organisation without which business activities cannot be operated. These different types of practices
are necessary to use so that it is easy to be develop community engagement.
Stakeholder role-
In organisation, stakeholder play important role as they are one who have interest in
business for some purpose. The process of community engagement is a time consuming and it is
necessary to identify which stakeholders should be more engaged within a process. The role of
stakeholders varies from person to person and organisation. In context of UNICEF, they aims at
fulfilling the needs and wants of stakeholders in proper manner on the basis of which they are able
to competitive benefit easy.
The importance of stakeholder in organisation is crucial as they help in achieving of
organisation goals in time period. This is important to be aware of the stakeholder roles so that it is
easy to make decisions in proper manner. Moreover, it is too analysed that a proper analysis is to be
made so that it become easy to execute the business operations in appropriate way. There are
various types of stakeholders in enterprise such as employees, customers, shareholders, owners etc.
All these stakeholders have different type of roles on the basis of which it is easy to make strategies
as well as decisions. So, participation and role of stakeholders in every organisation is different
from each other.
It is too stated that with proper consideration of all role of stakeholder it is easier to achieve
appropriate benefits. Furthermore, it is examined that engaging within community require a deep
level of knowledge and expertise so that positive results are achieved. It is necessary to evaluate all
the level of practices as it helps in analysing which practices is beneficial and can be used in better
way (Puzyreva, 2021).
During this module, I used my communication skills, presentation skills and other field
knowledge which helps me to get engage in community and work with others in team and group.
Also, with proper use of knowledge it was easy for me to reach to goal in time period. This is
examined that an appropriate kind of internal analysis is required so that all decisions are
undertaken in correct way.
In first module, process of engaging with community is also described briefly. The process is
time consuming as it requires a detailed use of management approaches. It is essential to seen that
literature and communication skills are to be used in correct way. This is analysed that with use of
skills it was easier for me to understand the concept of community engagement. Also, it was stated
that with different views of people, getting engaged was not acceptable by everyone (Saltmarsh,

2018).
CONCLUSION
After a brief analysis of above report, it has been analysed that community engagement is
an essential concept which is to be understood by every individual. It is too analysed that a proper
internal and external analysis is needed to be maintained so that it is convenient to develop and use
best practices for engaging in community in proper manner. So, discussions have been made about
the reflective cycle, Kolb's model, approaches and best practices for community engagement.
Furthermore, it is critically evaluated that in previous task 1, importance of community engagement,
role of stakeholder in the engaging process have been discussed briefly. Thus, it is important for
every individual to work as a collaborative team in order to achieve competitive benefits within
corporate sector. The competition level is increasing at rapid scale and it is necessary to focus on
use of these theories and models so that results are achieved.
