DESCRIPTION
We were assigned a task in which I participated in that role play activity which helped me
to developed some skills such as Communication Skill, Team Working Skill and Leadership
Skill. In this role playing activity, I needed to work with another students. The collaborations
with the help of other help people helped me in making a better leader and improving the
leadership skills. It helped me in developing better leadership skills and gaining and experience
about the activities of the leadership. For the betterment of events, I need to understand others for
that I need to communicated with them. This lead to develop my communication skills. Also,
when I started to communicate with them, I started to understand their nature and behaviour
which made an understanding between me and another students. This lead to developed my team
working skill (Turner, 2018). There were certain skills which I lacked like interpersonal skills
which created hindrances for me performing the roles. That is the reason, communication and
team working skills were improved. Due to improved interpersonal skills, I started able to
collaborate with all the members, able to solve problems and effectively listening to others.
These all lead to developed the leadership skills. Effectively listening, problem solving, team
working, effective communication and understanding of others are the requirements of better
leadership quality. Only 5 people were involved in it. The result of this role playing activity was
that now I better understand people and their nature which make me a good rapport with others.
Due to good leadership and communication skills, I started managing my emotions and my tasks
on time which lead me to do better self-management. These all skills made me better person.
FEELINGS
Before participating in role activity, I was not able to understand people which made me
the worst communicator. It happened a week before. Because of better communication skills, it
helped the people in leading and communicating the bad impact on my personality. Better
communication made be able to work in team and solving conflicts between team and not
completion of tasks on time (Jong and et.al., 2015). I felt better and supportive during the
leadership activities, It helped me in ensuring new growth and helped me to gain a better
understanding and growth of the aspect of leadership. During the activity, I felt opening with
people, sharing the thoughts, ideas with each other for the better understanding of roles and
activity. I started managing things and time. Also, I started working in team properly which

improve my interpersonal skills and personality too. After the activity, I started building my
network which help me to improve my studies as well. Building network improve my team
working style and skills. Also, it improves my understanding of different - different kind of
people and personalities which make me understand that how to deal with them. Also, this
activity make me understand the situations and able to solve the problems by using correct
approach (Robinson, 2015). Overall, my various skills such as leadership skills, communication
skills, team working skills and self-management skills improve which cause in improvement of
my interpersonal skills. Now the situation is completely different as my all tasks are completed
on time. I am able to impress my teachers with my good communication and team working
skills. Before the activity I was not good student but after developing and improving my all the
skills, I am able to achieve the position in my class.
EVALUATION
The activity was good and worked well because the members of team and I used to
produce good quality work for agreed time limits. Apart from this, due to the fact that two people
of the group, with the cancellation their family plans, motivated us to do more hard work. It
contributes positively to the work completion of the group. Things which did not work clearly
that my interpersonal skills didn't go well which lead to creation of confusions regarding tasks of
the members. Also, due to lack of self – management skills, I won't handle too much pressure
which also lead to breakout in the team (Sahai, 2015). But due to good communication and
leadership skills, my team members understood me and handled me well. But I wasn't able to
manage them due to lack of self management skills. Lack of self management skills made me
suffer in terms of growth and took away the the direction from me in order to ensure better own
self-management. I managed and worked with my team very well due to good rapport and
understanding between us and every team members. My team members were also good as I was
able to understand them and their capabilities and allot the tasks according to their capabilities
which motivated them to work effectively and efficiency. Also, there were good working
environment and conditions which lead work to complete on time. Due to good leadership
quality I managed to create the objectives and deadline for the team and provide required
resource to them for the achievement of objectives. This motivate them to work better. But due
to lack of interpersonal skills, I won;t understand their needs and wants which become a
constraints in chosen a way to work properly.

ANALYSIS
There are various things which I have learned form the activity as I was chosen as a
leader for the activity and it was the great responsibility to get the task done, I had to face many
challenges during the activity some things went very well and some things were very tough for
me to face. This activity has given a positive experience which will help me in the future as I
came to know about my various skills which I posses and lack. During the activity I was chosen
the leader of the group and I was able to lead the team effectively. There were the situation
where I have to make of my leadership skills which helped in the completion of the task. During
I used to make the effective communication with the team members during the activity as were
able to set a proper communication which each which helped in completion of the task and we
worked as an effective team member and supported each other whenever anybody needed help.
Me and my team members were able to set the proper collaboration which was also the reason
we were able to complete the task on the time (Barksby, Butcher and Whysall, 2015). But there
was the certain challenges that was faced by me like I came to know that I lack certain skills like
I was not able to manage myself in effective manner as I had to perform various task
simultaneously which created problems for me during the task. I also lacked some interpersonal
skills which also created problems for me and for my team during the task. Lacking of
interpersonal things was one of the most troubled thing which I faced. When ever same
situations will be faced be me in the future now I know how to deal with such situations which
will help me to grow as leader and as a person in the future. These were the things which worked
good and bad for me.
CONCLUSION
I have gathered a lot of experience from the activity conducted and there were the
situations where I should have reacted in the different manner like I should have used my
interpersonal skills which could have favoured me and my team members and should have
managed my in a better way so that the end results could have been much better (Middleton,
2017). Also, I should have faced the things in better way should have focused on improving my
skills and skills of my team mates. But this activity has given me lots of experience and I realised
that there are lots of things which I need to know and develop in me. When every same situation
will arise in the future I will try to improve my self management and interpersonal skills as it is

the best way to improve then also I will improve my leadership, communication and team
working skills, such situations provides the best opportunity to grow.
ACTION PLAN
If I am to face the similar situations in the future, it is important for me to develop an
action plan for the future, as there are some skills which I need to improve and develop in me
which in order to face the similar situations and to improve my self. I have to improve my
interpersonal skills as I was not able make proper use of interpersonal skills which I needed to
perform the task and it also created hindrances for me during the activity (Bass, Fenwick and
Sidebotham, 2017). Another important skills which I need to develop and improve is self
management skill and it development will help me in meet the challenges in the future. So, for
this I need to audit my skill and after auditing my skills I should develop a professional
development plan for the future. This will help me in improving my skill within the given period.
