The community that was assessed is Alberta.
Alberta is a geopolitical community. The health practitioner identified various
geographical and jurisdictional boundaries. The are five rural municipalities in
the community which are easily identified on a map. The municipalities are
known to almost everybody in the community.
There are various rules that has been agreed upon by the community members in
the establishment of social boundaries. The established social boundaries enable
quick accessibility of people or a person one is in need of. One of the social
boundaries is that men and women in tis society are not allowed to sit in the
same benches.
The social boundaries are used in guiding the acceptable behaviors in the
society and are followed by majority of the people, (Stoleroff, 2013).

Definition of community boundaries
Neighborhood boundaries are easily identifiable. Community members noted
the features that separate one village from the other. These boundaries makes
the community organized and help in their association towards each other.
There are rivers including river hernia and valleys.
Neighborhood boundaries are put into consideration because people of the
community interact with each other on daily basis.
The boundaries were created for historical purposes and it seems hard to know
where they start or end, but the members of the community familiarize with
them too well.
They are part of the community and form communities. Members therein
share the same type of experiences , same quality of life in regard to the
surrounding features and same impacts of social problems such as crime.

The community social interaction
Social interaction acts as every community’s building block.
Through interaction with each other, people come up with rules that guide
them in their way of living. These rules are designed in institutions and also in
systems that the people opt to live in.
In this community, social interaction is mostly in form of competition ,
cooperation and exchange, (Forrester, 2014).
Competition occurs during events of cultural activities such as dances where
groups compete with the other, and the winning group is rewarded. Through
these competitions, many people are brought together hence facilitating social
interactions.
Communal activities such as clearing of paths is done via cooperation , tasks
that too create room for social interaction.
Exchange occurs in their local markets where goods and services are
exchanged for monetary purposes during the market days. The exchange
process creates room for social interaction.

Community barriers and
challenges The most experienced is the communication barrier.
Communication is made ineffective due to emotional barriers, age barriers and
gender.
Emotional barriers arise because of fear of harm or punishment after
communicating out any challenge or problem identified.
Age barriers hinders effective communication where there is no
encouragement of free interaction across the line of the people of all ages. It is
very hard for the youth to address the old in this society hence making
communication challenging.
