Comprehensive Report: Community Health Education Project in Kansas

EDUCATION PROJECT

Introduction
• The community education programs are essentially devised for
promotion of learning opportunities and encouraging skills training
among the disadvantaged section of society. the community based
education program in the field of health education aids in providing
necessary information related to health of members of the community
who require special care in traditional medical institutions. This
involves uninsured, migrant and immigrant workers. The community
education project is devised to benefit people coming from diverse
ethnic and cultural background (Mossialos et al. 2015). The community
project is aims to provide necessary information related Community
oriented primary care (COPC). The implications of community oriented
primary care in the project focuses on approaches related to Healthcare
regarding population-based medicines and Technology biomedicines
which requires specific training and practices.

Planning
In the planning phase, the planning development which includes
educational training and Management of the work environment
was finalized. For the purpose of the project the few clinics
where shortlisted in the Kansas to impart information related to
COPC and advanced biomedicines.

• The important aspect of the program was to exert control related to training
process and assuring health professional involvement. The health personals
responsible for delivery system appropriately prepared for the performance of the
job required for them. This helps in providing guiding principles for
development of new health roles had disseminating information related to
advance biomedicine.
• The training is to be provided to volunteers for developing the neighbourhood
health centres in Kansas City. The needs of population and communities are
identified and volunteers are shortlisted from the community and trained for
performing the needed role.

• The Ministry of Health and medicine is consulted for providing Apparatus
for education of the volunteers and health professionals. According to the
health system needs the programs have been devised planned developed
and managed specifically established in Kansas City.
• Availability of funds and requisite social climate is one of the perquisites
in shaping the project. The project follows the guidelines mentioned in the
Health Professions Education Assistance Act 1972 for promotion and
selection of primary care choice and location in in underdeveloped area in
Kansas (Kim et al. 2016).
• The subspecialties of the non-surgical primary group have been shortlisted
in the field of bio medicines that can be applied in COPC.

Development
The development of the project was undertaken by inducting
critical components of COPC practices which includes-
• provisions related to primary care services
• focus on assessing the needs of the community planning and
delivering services
• placing the privacy on community based activities with help
of volunteers that have been shortlisted from the community
• involvement of the community in providing them requisite
information related to promotion of their own health

● Undertaking a comprehensive team approach in order to
successfully implement the programs and evaluate the outcomes
and effects of the care.
● The components of the program imply inclusion of skills
from Medical practitioners and imparting the requisite knowledge
in the field of biomedicines to the volunteers through education
programs.
● Integration of components of community oriented family
care programs and training experiences with the skill related to
community medicines.

Implementation
For the purpose of successful implementation of the project
the program distribution was devised undertaking the
following factors in consideration. The population size,
Employment level in the specific area, assessing the needs
and request from the groups and community organizations
regarding imparting of skills related to the specific area of
information was evaluated.

• The basic objective of the project was to provide educational
experiences to the volunteers coming from within the community
recording community medicines and advanced by medicines.
• The goal of the project was to stimulate community action
required for social change and provide services to the community
residence. The pre-eminence of community action helps in
achieving significant impact in the community during the project
implementation and sensitization of the needs of the community
for developing Strategies for change in the future.

• The implementation of the program in primary care based on
educational experience focused on comprehensive, promotive,
preventive and rehabilitative ideologies to provide basic
information related to advanced biomedicines.
• The project estimate range to provide basic information to the
community based programs and arranging 40 health workers to
help in devising a simple plan to impart knowledge and skills to
volunteers.

• The information related to bio medicines and preventive
medicines in the primary care sector focusing on the specific
areas was carried forward with the help of volunteers coming
from the community.
• The volunteers were called for training for 5 half days training
for providing them necessary information related to advanced
bio medicines and preventive medicines. The volunteers were
also provided small community projects for performing task and
were provided with health education development tools and
materials organizing screening programs.

• The follow up programs were also arranged to determine the frequency of
successful implementation of program understanding areas which needs to
be worked upon. The clarity of goals role definition and appreciation
related to resources needs to be analyzed since it is critical for well-
functioning team. The need for team approach in conducting teaching and
practices in the field of community oriented primary care is essentially
important for development initiatives.
• The Strategies for developing faculty role model and role practice
opportunities among the student it is effective in successful implementation
of community oriented primary care practices. The practice opportunities
and influencing societal values and values related to medical education
favoring COPC.
