I have always been of a very helpful nature. It was always my wish to take part in all the
social service works that can promote some overall welfare of the people of my community.
There was a feeling of utter happiness whenever I could help out any of my community people.
There was a small slum area on my way to school. I was very disturbed by seeing the
children crying every single day. There were about ten families who used to stay there and they
had around 20 children all total. They used to cry as they did not get a sufficient amount of food.
I was really sad about them and wanted to help them out. I was sad to see that I am lucky enough
to get formal schooling as well. However, this was something that those poor children could only
dream of. There was a local community event that was about to be held in my locality.
The event was being conducted by the Feeding Children Everywhere community. Their
main aim was to feed the poor and the needy children who suffer from the lack of food, clothing,
and shelter. It made sure that I can help them out through this event. I thought that this
community program will be a very good way of helping these children as the mission of this
community event was to help out the poor and the hungry children.
The entire matter was explained to some of my local people. It was also made sure that
this matter is also taken to the concern of the elders so that we can get some very good and
helpful tips. I took the help from all the people of my locality and decided to provide free food
packets to all the poor and needy children of my locality.
There was a visit planned to that slum with my friends and all other elders of my locality.
I talked with the inmates of the slum and made sure that they can actually come and be a part of
this program. All the needy brought all the needy and poor children to the camps that had been
set up by us and the people of the Feeding Children Everywhere organization. I made sure that

the entire group of poor children get free meals and can eat to their heart's content. I wanted to
make some contribution towards this campaign as this was really very good and noble work.
I wanted to be helpful in this event so I collected a good amount of fund from all the
people that were known to me. The main motto was to be able to help the poor children by
feeding them not only for one day but for all other days. A thorough research about the works
that are done by this campaign was done before selecting them for helping the community.
I asked the organization to appoint this slum dweller within their workforce so that they
can get a free flow of income. This would help them to earn some money and get a better life for
themselves and also their children. It was also made sure that these children get two free meals
per day. This will ensure that the children are getting good fresh food and are not suffering from
any hunger-related problems. The old clothes from the community were collected and distributed
them among those poor and needy children. Apart from this, it was also made sure that these
children are getting free education. Thus I took help from our local counselor and made them
admitted to one of the local free schools. The family members of those children would know that
their kids are getting educated and they will not have to bear any extra expense for this.
Apart from this as it was also requested to the Feeding Children Everywhere campaign,
to conduct the health awareness program for improving the mindset of these children. All the
children along with their families were trained on the health and safety maintenance. In other
words, they were given valuable lessons on family planning and on how to take care of their
personal cleanliness. Thus it was a very good and well-organized program that helped in
overthrowing the hunger of these poor people.
