INTRODUCTION
Civil society organisations or CSOs involves a group of individuals that basically operates in
the community in a method which is distinct from the business and the government. In the
current essay, it basically involves the concept in relation to the CSO and its application in the
various private and public sector with the support of the examples. In addition to that, it involves
the opportunities and the issues which are unique to the CSOs.
MAIN BODY
The Community service organizations are basically considered to be those organizations
whose main objective is social in place of economic. In reference to these sectors, it comprises of
the trade unions, charities, community organizations, non profit organizations, religious
organizations, campaigning organizations etc (Yagboyaju and Simbine, 2019). In reference to the
community organizations, they may have a constitution or legal status but there are different
groups which have neither. In case of private sector, both the customers or suppliers work
through an uncomplicated procedure. The services or the goods which are offered by the
customers or the suppliers pay the price to the purchases it basically likes. In context to the
public sector, the government with the support of local authorities are basically the public
service’s services which in exchange results in government change by the voters and also it
totally depends on the government will work for them with the valuable programs which might
involve public services or the taxation like Australian Taxation Office. In reference to the third
sector, it works in different manner as there is no transaction of monetary value for the services
provided. The organisation received funds by the donors for the needed service. In reference to
few examples, it comprises of the Amnesty International( Australia), Indigo Foundation etc
(Khoo and Tan, 2019).
Community participation and Volunteerism provides benefits to the both the volunteers
or groups themselves. In reference to Volunteerism, it basically promotes sense of belongingness
within the community basically in the form of the Collaborative Tasks which results in
increasing the prosocial behaviour in the last delineated group lines through invoking
identification with helps in providing larger superordinate in group. In case of volunteers, ythere

are few advantages which involves providing a chance to improve skills and promotion of these
skills and also providing services that was not previously provided and also helps in benefitting
the career enhancement as a key outcome for the volunteers (Baggetta and Bredenkamp, 2021).
In case of CSOs, there are various characteristics. In case of characteristics, accountability is
considered to be the major one which basically can be defined as being answerable to the
stakeholders for the company’s actions through external and internal initiation. In addition to
that, there are different types of bodies who are uniting altogether for the third sector so it results
in being accountable to different stakeholders. In reference to the volunteers, service users, staff,
members, individual donor and funding bodies all these have separate claims when it comes to
third sector organization (Natil, 2020).
In addition to that, there are various opportunities for third sector managers as it helps in
guiding the choices for the investments or the future priorities if there is any crisis in relation to
finances. In case of organizations, each need to create and develop their own criteria for the
purpose of resource allocation which are best in accordance to the different circumstances so that
it is really easy to be responsible when there is right time. In reference to the rising competition
and rivalry among the members and the donors results in creating a funding risk. In case of
various situations, there is basically a positive impact of organization’s members which can
result in changing of the priorities in relation to the needs performed by the CSO. Another
characteristic is Commitment. It is basically a set of core values that helps in defining the third
sector’s characteristic including the complicated human services delivery. In case of the
organization’s success, the values are very important and crucial as it basically comprises of the
organization’s principles. In addition to that, it helps in representation of the organization and
also supports in guiding the coming generations in relation to the concept of leadership which is
highly important for the objective to direct the organisation to a effective route. Individuals who
can share their values leads to working in the same group and helps in offering contribution to
the mission statement and the values of the company. Also there had been always a chance to
facilitate positive change in the company’s values for the objective to offer the best service
available. It will also result in boosting up the confidence and cheerfulness among the individuals
for the company to be ready for the various things. For the objective to set the values through the
company, it is essential to do more with less pressure and tension to out perform which results in
increasing the organization’s high standards. In context to the third sector companies, basically

these are the people coalition which often from different motives for the objective to join
altogether for the objective of governance (Kumar, Sallnow and Richardson, 2021). It is very
important to work as a team for the purpose to deliver the special roles which could be only
provided by the board. In case of issues or challenges that are basically faced by the Governance
for the purpose to retain the volunteers who are basically working in as the board members as
they are highly skilled and experienced in the company. In addition to that, these are considered
to be the CSO’s lifelines who are responsible for taking decisions regarding the strategy, mission
and objectives of the organisation. Moreover, there is an opportunity for the objective to meet the
goals with the help of an effective team and creating a healthy competition.
CONCLUSION
From the above essay, it can be concluded that management is basically responsible for the
development and implementation of the strategies which are generally agreed by the board and
when it comes to these approaches it basically comprise of the volunteers who could influence in
engaging more knowledge and essential skills.
