Knowledge and understanding of ideas and perspectives in the texts
The main theme is brought out from the poem and article is about freedom. The quote from
poem “and dare to claim the sky” in which author wants to say that free bird are not restricted to
do things by their own they do what they want to which describes their freedom. From the article
the quote “the lonely bird grew to protect its lonely protector” through this writer want to say
that bird who was seeking for the shelter but the pigeons refuse to give her then only effigy of
the lost soul offered her a place therefore she started singing for effigy. The knowledge and
understanding regarding the ideas and perspective that are depicted in the poem as well as the
article that has been included will bring about a figurative speech of half are the Lost soul as well
as the Lonely bird are brought about by the perfect picturisation of a character that was truly
brought about by the midst of loneliness (Suryati, 2018). Both the poem as well as the article
depicted the characters of birds which were kept aside by the remaining ones that depicted and

that are getting shut is related to the agony of not being able to save itself from the clutches of
the imprison. Every personification as “the free bird leaps on the back of the winds” in this line
of the poem author wants to convey that the freedom life of someone regarding the terminology
and the figurative speech that is being inculcated by the other will portray the similarities and
differences between both the cases and highlighting the policy of sorrow and pain is being
depicted in both the cases. The language features as well as the style that has been incorporated
in both the scenario will picturised the offence of imagination followed by a perfect explanation
of the entire scenario. Similarity can be seen in both the poem and article is they both are
conveying a message about the freedom as in the poem it is seen that free bird can do whatever
they want to if they want to fly as high as possible they are allowed to but if bird is caught by
someone then there life will become difficult. Just like in article it is shown that free pigeons are

allowed to do things which they want to but for the bird who has been caught by someone her
life become difficult.
Differences can be seen in both poem and article as in the poem it compares the freedom and
captivity, whereas in article it shows about the caged bird. In poem, it is seen that captive bird
only limited to their cage. In article captive bird has no wings to fly they only remain shut in
their cage until their death. Poem is targetting the societal issue in which some people are
allowed to do whatever they want to but for some people it is impossible to do things on their
own. In article, it says that after visitor caught the bird the lost soul waited for her friend until her
death.
Conventions used
The author in this regard will bring about the featuring of birds in order to explain the
appropriate terminology as well as the styles that are being taken as preference. To explain this
