Activities

that employer use to enhance the regulatory environment (Budd 03:16 – 17).
Comply
This approach is based on compliance with regulations without any transformative
change to operations. This generates profits and efficiency without operational benefit from
regulatory compliance.
Compete
This approach is based on the effective integration of compliance. This has aimed to
achieve parity with direct competitors. This approach has aimed to reduce the compliance
burden with regulations. This is not generally transformative at the level of an enterprise.
Catapult
This is based on the use of essential information to obey new protocols to achieve
transformation.
The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
This is the oldest labor law of US (John 09:10 – 12). This is known as a wage and
hour law. This has provisions like equal pay, minimum wages, overtime pay, and record-
