This project which I was assigned to was a smaller sub part of a larger project which was
being undertaken by Huawei. The main project was to improve the working network of the Saudi
Arabia as a whole. The country needed to get an up gradation on their use of the network. This
was achieve by splitting up the whole project in to smaller parts. The parts which was assigned to
Huawei consisted of central, northern and the eastern regions of the project. As Huawei got most
of the major portions of the project, they decided to split up the project even more to the
department of core wise working environment. This prompted the rise of the new departments:
Core Network, FTK Sites, Wireless Expansion and Industrialized Building System (IBS). I was
called up on by Huawei to become the implementation manger of the IBS team of the project.
There were a total of 56 IBS sites under the Huawei project job. I had to look after all of them
and check the fluent working of the workers.

CE 3.2.3 My area of work
I was assigned to look after the working of the IBS subproject of the Huawei Company
which involved in the up gradation of the network service of the Saudi Arabia. I had applied my
project management skills to communicate with the managers to share the working procedure of
the project. I had also managed the budget and the resources of the project to deliver the best
project and also a cost effective one. This helped the organisation save up money.

CE 3.2.5 My responsibilities throughout the project
I was in charge of being the Implementation Manager for Huawei for their project in the
development of the working condition of the network of Saudi Arabia. I had applied my project
management skills to provide the best quality project. I had managed the resources and the
project budget to ensure that minimum amount of budget was required for the implementation of
the project. I had communicated with my project seniors to let them know the decisions I was
taking for the implementation of the project. I had also negotiated with my team member to work
at the stipulated amount of money so that they would be willing to complete the work and also
maintain the budget that I was following.
CE 3.3 Distinctive Activity
CE 3.3.1 Comprehending the theory of the project
An Industrialized Building System (IBS) is a process of implementation of the
construction building which is targeted to improve the working environment and the process of
building the system easier. Most of the construction companies are now a days shifting to the
implementation of the IBS which helps them to save time and money. It has always been said

that enough knowledge is required about the process of working of the IBS to work on one of the
project. Knowledge is required as one time high cost execution should not go to waste by the
organization. For this project Huawei had hired me to be the implementation manager of their
IBS system for the up gradation of the network that was connecting the Saudi Arabia. All
information and the working procedures were documented and presented to the organization
upon the handover of the project.
CE 3.3.2 Engineering knowledge and skills applied in the project
I had use my knowledge of my project management skills. Implementation of the
working of the stock management and to communicate with the managers of the organisation.
For the fluid communication protocol I had documented all the working procedure of the project
and shared the work with my supervisors. This helped them to understand the work flow that I
was going through. I had applied the working idea of a budget control which helped me to
produce the best cost effective working environment and thus saving the organisation to save up
lot of money which wold have eventually been wasted.
CE 3.3.3 Accomplishment and task performed
The project was completed with a lot of effort from my end. As my team did not have
any idea about the working procedure of the IBS, I had enough time to teach them the procedure.
This helped them to cooperate with me to get the job completed on time. They were in full
support when I had asked them to learn about the working of the IBS. The use of my project
management skills helped me to complete the project faster than the project timeline was
expected. All the problems of the working of the IBS were examined during the process and the
risk was mitigated with my skills. Huawei was happy with the quality of work which I had
provided them with.

CE 3.3.4 Identified issues and their solutions
3.3.4.1 Issues
The major problem which I had faced during the implementation of the project was the
lack of knowledge among my team members. They did not know about the working of the IBS.
The main concerns of the operations teams were the lack of knowledge and experience in
maintaining of IBS sites.
3.3.4.2 Solutions
For this I had consulted with my seniors and asked the managers to arrange a session
where they would be taught about the working condition and the procedure for the
implementation of the IBS. Many on sites and off sites training were conducted to address this
knowledge gap. Process and Training were devised to address this issues, and was eventually
eliminated.
CE 3.3.5 Plan to produce creative and innovative work
When I was assigned to the project I found that the concept of IBS was new in Saudi
Arabia. For this reason I had tried to make the communication gap to get reduced among my
team members and workers. I had setup regular meetings and onsite training from foreign IBS
specialist to teach the workers about the different working conditions and environment and the
type of work that was to be done on the project. This was taken as appositive approach for my
team mates and tried to learn as much about the work as they could.
CE 3.3.6 Collaborative work
For the project I had collaborate with my team mates to look after the implementation of
the project. Though the project was under the supervision of Huawei, the main resource

management and all the work was to be looked at by the respective departments. The IBS team
had made extensive work on this project and was able to deliver the best quality project.
CE 3.4 Project Review
CE 3.4.1 Project Overview
The project was completed successfully under my implementation supervision for the
Central, North and eastern regions of Saudi Arabia. Though I had faced many problems during
my working on the project I was able to simplify the problems and provide the organization with
the best quality work.
CE 3.4.2 My contribution to work
The primary responsibility of my work was to look after the implementation procedure of
the Huawei’s project for the extension of the network in the Saudi Arabia country. I was in
charge of looking after the IBS sub project in the Central, North and Eastern regions of Saudi
Arabia. I had implemented my working knowledge of the project management which helped me
to provide the organisation with the best project. I had also documented the site statistics and the
quality of service which was being provided by me and my team members. I had used the theory
of budget management which helped to save the organisation to save up money and also used
fluent communication with the managers.
