CE 2.2 Project Background
CE 2.2.1 Characteristics of the project
Application of geo-textile or polymer grid process reinforcement can be used in the
process of improvement of the performance and the strength of the fill layers which has been
reinforced for the placing on the soft grounds. I had worked on the development of this project
due to the concern of the mechanism for the designing of the unpaved roads. These roads had
been built on a base of soft clay that has been considered an important application of the
reinforcement of the soil technique. The process has been able to be completed efficiently and
effectively. For the completion of the project I has proposed the use of a new analytical design
model with the concern of the mechanism of the use of reinforced unpaved roads. I had
implemented the use of membrane reinforcement mechanism with the new model. This has
resulted in the completion of the project in a positive manner. The membrane has been able to
help the acceptance of the behaviour with the inclusion of surface deformities.

For the completion of the project I had set out the following list of objectives which
would help in the delivery of the highest quality in the task:

To work with a collaborative team for the project

To design and use a new model which would be based on the use of membrane
reinforcement procedure.
CE 2.2.3 My area of work
For this project I had worked on the designing of the methods to be used for the
reinforcement of the unpaved roads with the help of the implementation of geo grids and geo
textile. However it has been seem that Noiray and Giroud has been presented the research topic
to be implemented. This project has been then redesigned for the completion of my research
based study so that the output in enhanced from the use of the soft clay. I had then tried to
complete the delivery of the project after the correct procedural analysis on the use of the
membrane reinforcement mechanism. The project has been able to delivered with the complete
efficient and effective work and thus it can be said that I have been able to successful achieve the
objective. The procedural mechanism for the project has been helpful on the dealing of the
interaction between the loads of the two wheels with the basis of the implicit assumptions that
the use of the sub graded clay behaves in the rigid plastic manner.

For the project I was responsible for the choosing of the process and the elimination of
the process, the system and the approach with the use of efficiency of the project. I was also
responsible for the collection of the data which is to be used for the completion of the research
project. The data collected is to be from the various researchers who has conducted the same
research work. I had also contributed in the process of implementation of the membrane
mechanism of the reinforcement in the manner to enhance the behaviour of the roads through the
use of soft clay strengthening process. I was also responsible for the designing of the roads with
the help of geo textiles and geo grids which would result in the increase of the efficiency of the
project.

CE 2.3 Distinctive Activity
CE 2.3.1 Comprehending the theory of the project
For this project I had sub divided the structural procedural mechanism process in the
reinforced of unpaved roads. The groups includes the small displacement process and the larger
displacement mechanism. I was also able to implement the process of geo grids and geo textiles
in the project which would help in the separation function process. Large deformation can be
required for the broader use of the mechanism in the process to occur an early and a before
process of deformation. The vital deformations mechanisms are connected with the action
membrane for the reinforcement and the acceptable process. The use of the membrane
mechanism can be associated for the development of the curvatures. The process can be used for
the development of the reinforcement within the increment of the deformation magnitude. The
additional use of the vertical stress on the reinforcement curvatures has been used for the above
the above portion of the soft surface. This result in the incremental process of bearing capacity of
the soft clay on the road. This would thus increase the quality of the soil.
CE 2.3.2 Engineering knowledge and skills applied in the project
For the completion of this project I had applied my skills in the field of civil engineering.

I had made use of simple analytics model for the designing of the methods to be used for
the reinforcement of the layers on the soft clay.
CE 2.3.3 Accomplishment and task performed
I had worked on the designing of the type of the reinforced soil structure for the
application of the simple structure and the behaviour. I have used the analytical model for the
reinforcement of the Plane Strain Membrane Mechanism. The application process in the design
calculation is used for the models. I had used this process so that the equation are much easier to
collect. However the major drawback of this process is the increase in the budget and the
timeline of the project.
CE 2.3.4 Identified issues and their solutions
2.3.4.1 Issues
The sub graded degradation process of the project became one of the most vital problem
for the project. This problem had affected the actual delivery time of the project. The analysis of
the design presentation studied from the previous researchers became a difficulty in the process
of study for the project.

2.3.4.2 Solutions
Implementation of the geo textile and the geo grid was a helpful process for the
elimination of the problem that had been faced. The use of this process helped in making the
project effective and efficient in all direction. I had also analysed the designs of the models and
had found that the appropriate design for the membrane was to strengthen the soft clay.
CE 2.3.5 Plan to produce creative and innovative work
I had studied and researched on many of the research articles and literature written by
other writers to understand the basic process of the project. I had followed the previous design by
Giroud and Noiray in the consistency of the parabolas as follows:

For the completion of the project I had used the above design and then contributed to the
reinforcement force of the system. The assumptions which had been made for the project was to
use the reinforcement fixing and the method of model design which would be able to predict the

CE 2.3.6 Collaborative work
The project had been completed in the collaboration with my team members and assistant
professor. The project had been completed with complete dedication and was able to complete
my role as one of the team member in the project. I had also contributed effort in the process of
data collection and the designing process of the project. The rest of the team had also contributed
for the analysis of the project and the execution of the various objectives in the project.
CE 2.4 Project Review
CE 2.4.1 Project Overview
For the project I had completed the implementation of the grid enforcement of the
enhancement process of the reinforcement of the fill layers in the soft ground. I had also
developed the designing of the new analytical model for the project and can be applicable for the
processing of the reinforced unpaved paths. The implementation of the reinforcement mechanism
has been used for the reinforced unpaved paths. The use of the membrane has helped in the
enhancement of the strength of the soft clay.
CE 2.4.2 My contribution to work
For the project I had contributed in the delivering the complete portion of my part. I had
also ensured in the strict action as per the budget and the timeline of the project. I had collected
the data and the research materials for the completion of the project as per the objectives which
had been set forward during the initiation of the project. The data collection and the developing
design of the priejct was one of the primary objective for the project. Apart from this the
