1COMPETENCY STATEMENT
Cyber security refers to the convergence of people, different processes along with
technology that work together to protect the organizations, individuals or networks from
various attacks. I have a sound knowledge on network security that is one of the parts of
cyber security and a popular job profile these days. I am interested in the practices that help
in preventing as well as protecting unauthorized intrusion into the corporate networks. I am
passionate about cyber security and this helps me to do my work diligently. I am good at
communication and am capable of communicating both technical as well as business aspects.
According to me, one should never stop learning and thus I attend different seminars and
workshops to keep myself updated on new developments related to network security. It is
important to engage with people especially in this sphere as when addressing security issues
there is a need that the viewpoint of all the members working as a team be considered. Cyber
security is a team work and thus it is required that in all decisions taken, the team should be
well informed.
I am able to identify as well as analyze the problems, distinguishing in between
relevant and irrelevant informations so that the decisions I make are logical. I properly
analyze every problem so that the solutions I come up with are satisfactory and resolve the
problems. I am good at verbal as well as written communication. Proper project management
skills are required to handle different tasks and I have experience in heading a team. I am
good at multitasking and team work. I do not jump into conclusions by assessing some
aspects of a task or situation. I have worked as a team leader in various projects and have got
appreciation for my work as a team lead. I can perform well under pressure and do not lose
patience while handling chaotic situations. I adhere to the values of the company that I work
with. I respect by seniors and feel that do not hesitate to take their guidance. Brushing up
skills and learning new things is my hobby. In order to understand the subject or be an expert

in the field one needs to gather practical knowledge and thus I do not miss any opportunity to
gain practical knowledge.
I am able to provide clear as well as convincing oral presentations which help me to
solve issues in an effective manner. I have attended many workshops and seminars thus
aware of different situations that I can encounter. I always encourage two way
communications as according to me in order to understand a problem better one should listen
well to others which help in building a healthy professional relationship. Exchanging ideas is
a key for me that help in the growth of an organization and I never step back to learn from my
juniors as well. According to me, an individual can learn from anywhere and anyone, what
matters is his urge to known more. Therefore, I suppose I am capable of handling tasks and
multitasking as well.
