INTRODUCTION
The management of the various operations will have to be managed by the organisation in order
to manage their business operations and activities (Harvey, Heineke and Lewis, 2016). The
report is based on the operation of CompTV, SA. It is a Cameroon based TV component
manufacturing enterprise. This research paper will cover a strategy to improve its manufacturing
and pros and cons of each scenario of with the management of its supply chain.
MAIN BODY
1 Define a Strategy
Looking at the condition and the market situation of the organization that is been faced by
CompTV SA, it can be said that a firm can opt for the effective placing and implementation of
strategies to its manufacturing plant of Plasma TV components. As per the market condition of
the selected organization, and the issues that the firm is facing at the manufacturing of its
components, firm can opt various strategies and management of its business operations to have a
good supply chain management in the market.
The firm can opt for the sub-contracting with any other major or minor Plasma TV component
i.e. the integrated panels manufacturing plant or firm that will help the organization to meet its
operational requirements to a greater extent. Other than this, to manage the distribution and
manufacturing process, the business process restructuring or BPR process or strategy can be
adopted that will lead the organization to meet their operational requirements. It will also help in
management of logistic department of the selected firm, leading to the development of their own
transportation system to carry out the delivering and distribution process and can merge it in
order to keep the job positions of their employees. The process of sub-contracting or
collaborating with any other manufacturing organization will require certain operational
alterations and few changes in its supply chain management. The firm can also use the Lean
production management strategy as the major focus of the firm is to increase and improve the
manufacturing of the integrated panels. This can be fulfilled by adopting the specific
technological tools and techniques which will not only lead to lean management but also
improving the supply chain and distribution process by the organization (Hitt, Xu and Carnes,
2016).
Apart from this, in order to carry out their manufacturing process and to increase the
production, the firm can opt for the opting of the business expansion and market penetration

strategy in a country like Morocco. This will help the country to have the batter market base
other than in Eastern Europe. They can acquire a smaller and cheaper manufacturing
organizations that will help the firm to manage the business operations and action plan that will
help in the improving of the manufacturing process and enhancing their supply chain
management. All this measures that are been taken in the consideration by the organization
which will support the proper management of the trade activities and the manufacturing process
of its integrated panels for the plasma TV.
2. According to this strategy, they have to analyse all available options, evaluate the pros and the
cons of each scenario, as well as the changes in the Supply Chain
As per the analysis above, the selection of the BPR strategy to handle the business
operations and activities that will help the firm to improve the quality of services and action
plans to enhance their manufacturing process (Stevenson, 2014). The various scenarios that are
been opted by the firm under BPR will help the firm to manage the manufacturing process and
handling of their business operations in an effective way. However they will have certain pro’s
and con’s, which are as follows:

This will help the firm to reduce their wastage while the manufacturing process. This will
help in the effective management of the business operations that will help the firm to
have the effective utilization of its available resources.
The incorporating of this strategy with the BPR process will help the firm to increase the
production along with all the components of the organisation. This will help the firm that
will help the business organisation that will help in improving the superior quality
products and services by the firm.
Con’s:
The major drawback of implementing the lean manufacturing process is that it causes the
firm to cut short the resource allocation which can get misfired in case of bulk
manufacturing.

This will have the major advantage of the firm that it will help in reduce the load on
Comp TV SA and will help in increasing manufacturing process of the organisation (Hitt
Carnes and Xu, 2016).
This will also help the firm to have the technical advancement and exposure to newer
audience and customer base by adopting the effective innovations and technologies in a
better way.
Con’s:
In the sub-contracting of the collaboration process, the firm become liable to share their
resources and profit margin, impacting its growth.
All this measures will have a significant impact on the supply chain management process
that will be opted and implemented by the organisation. The supply chain of the organisation will
support the firm to meet their customer’s needs and demands. Other than this, it will also help in
the assessment of the needs and requirements of the organisation and will lead to carrying out of
the delivery process.
The measures like BPR, lean production, sub-contracting and developing a new
transportation system will help Comp TV SA to have a better market share by developing and
allocating high quality product and services in a better way (Heizer and et.al., 2017).
CONCLUSION
On the basis of the research and analysis that is been carried out, this can be said that the
proper management of the operations like business process reengineering strategy along with
other components like lean production, market penetration and sub-contracting will help an
organisation to enhance the quality of product or servicers that they will deliver to their
customers. Besides this, it will help in setting up a new and more efficient supply chain
management to cater the needs and demands of the customers and generate a decent amount of
revenue.
