College of Engineering: NIT1104 Group Project - Ethernet LAN Design

This project report details the design and configuration of an Ethernet LAN, adhering to the specifications provided in the assignment brief. The project encompasses the creation of a network diagram, site map, and a comprehensive list of network inventories, including necessary hardware like Cisco Catalyst switches and routers, along with cabling and accessories. An IP addressing plan is meticulously crafted, detailing subnet allocation and utilization, ensuring efficient network segmentation. The configuration document provides detailed command-line instructions for configuring routers and switches, accompanied by screenshots to demonstrate successful connectivity between subnetworks and the gateway. The project adheres to the requirements of the assignment brief, including the use of a class A sub-network (172.168.1XY.0/23) and the allocation of separate sub-networks for each PC lab and a single sub-network for all office computers.
