Computer Networking Assignment: Network Configuration and Analysis

1. Network Diagram
The Network diagram is shown in below.
The above network contains the three rooms such as computer lab, office room and
technical rooms. The technical room is painted in cyan colour, the computer lab is painted in
green colour and office room is painted in pink colour. The network diagram uses the Cisco
routers, switches, firewall, server and computers. These are connected with each other. The
Cisco firewall is used to provide the secure network connections (A, 2014).

3. Network Devices
Cisco catalyst 2650 series switches
The Cisco catalyst 2650 series switches are used to providing the highly secure business
operations. It providing the improved ease of use and sustainability. It has stacking capacity
with 1 and 10 Gigabit connectivity and power over Ethernet plus. It offers the fast Ethernet
access connectivity and PoE capabilities (Connecting networks companion guide, 2014). It
provides the end to end network solution for an organization. It also provides the higher
performance and it supports the BYOD and mobility.
Cisco ISR router 2620 series
The Cisco 2620 routers are used to providing the WAN and LAN configurations, data
and voice integration, high performance processors and multiple security options. It has
flexibility of adding more than 50 modules and makes the ideal branch office routers for
customer requirements. It easily enhanced the security performance, concurrent applications
and high density. The Concurrent applications are support to meet the growing demands for
an organization. It provides the multi service data and voice integration and analog dial
access services (Introduction to networks, n.d.).
Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls
The Cisco ASA firewall is used to beat sophisticated cyber attacks with superior security.
It combined with next generation intrusion prevention system, advanced malware protection
and application control. It provides the superior multilayered protection and unified security
services for an organization. It delivers the high availability for high resiliency applications.
Cisco RJ45 Connectors and cables
The routers are arrives with an auxiliary and console cable and connector kit and it
contains the cable and adapter to connect the console and modem to the router. The Cisco
RJ45 cables include the RJ45 to RJ 45 rollover cable, RJ45 to DB25 and RJ45 to DB9. These
are used to connect the modem and console. The Connector and cables are using the
maximum 100 meter lengths. It supports the IEEE 802.3 and 802.3u specifications (Lewis,
n.d.).
