INTRODUCTION
Computer networking is basically a group of various computer that connected to each
other for the purpose of communication. It is the interconnection of multiple devices, generally
termed as Hosts connected using the different path for sending or receiving data. This report will
discuss about to critically analyse the current wired network infrastructure and also pointing out
its weakness and strengths. Furthermore, it will discuss about the assumption related the
proposed network infrastructure and also identify the issues that can across at the design process.
It will produce the logical design and physical design of proposed network. This assignment will
describe about the equipment that are likely to be needed for network design. Moreover, It will
assume the transmitter and receiver are point sources or signals are proposed in the isotropically
or sensitive. It will describe the new scheme that can help to improve and how these changes
raise the expected capacity of wireless link. This report will discuss about the network
technologies that could be deployed to address the capacity problems in the original design.

Current Wired infrastructure and determining various upgraded solutions for the company.
Modern Moulding deals with the precession of metallic and plastic moulds and this
organization produces the goods and services for commercial as well as industrial use. Therefore
the company tends to expand its business and operational activities. In order to cope up with the
expansion, the Modern moulding company's managing director advised to upgrade the IT areas
within the industry. The current networking infrastructure of the company is inefficient and
ineffective to contribute towards the company's growth (Pratama, Syamwiland Hudallah,2018).
The new IT Networking infrastructure need to be developed within the organization which
supports the Modern Moulding company for sound networking which helps in enhancing the
coordination and communication between various departments of the firm. Currently the
organization follows the poor wired assessment which is less reliable to the staff members and
restrict the flow of information and as well as coordination between multiple departments of the
company.
1.1 Critical Appraisals of the Wired network Infrastructure
Wired Network infrastructure can be termed as the connection and communication of
several systems via wired configurations which allows the transfer of data and information via
Ethernet cables. A wired connection sometimes proved as inefficient for larger networks as

single route is used to transfer the data between connected PCs. Basically, wired network rely on
cables which cannot be helpful in managing the large network for the company. These are also
called as Ethernet networks which are the most common type of LAN technology and this may
be a collection of two or more devices. However, people generally focus on wireless side of
network when it comes to security because Wi-Fi has no physical fences. Wireless network relay
on antennas using radio signals in order to attach the systems with the access point. But in this
advanced technological world, targeted attacks as well as hackers gain physical access to
corporate network. So security of the wired network within the Modern Moulding is one of the
great concern (Haqueand , 2018). So here are the appraisals which need to be considered for
improving the wired infrastructure of the organization and such appraisals are described below:
Speed
Wired networking infrastructure is the fastest method which connects one device to
another at the speed of 10 mbps (megabits per second). To 100 Mbps or may be higher. The
wired network allows for fastest and more secure connections which can only be used at the
distance shorter then 200 feet. In order to establish the strong connection between system and
devices within the production department of the Modern moulding company, Data transmission
is performed via cables which is more efficient.
Topology
It is one of the main appraisal technique, as the company new Networking infrastructure
allows the employment of new systems within the company and thus they can be connected
through various topologies. Star topology is one of the best recommendation for the Moulding
company which allows them to establish a efficient and effective connection between different
devices that lies with one department.
Scalability
In order to establish connectivity within a systems of the production department, wired
technology is being used that is one of the scalable approach as it allows the transmission of the
data efficiently (Zhang,and et.al., 2018). In order to increase the scalability and systems within
the organization which supports the expansion of the business activities, it is suggested to
establish a strong wireless connection within each system of the company as it maximises the
scalability and scope of range within the organization.
Cost

The cost of the wired networking has become rather inexpensive as it can be performed
through cables, hubs and switches which are very expensive. Connecting all the computers
within an Moulding organization with a wired network can be costly. Especially when the
secured and covered cables are established along with the neat Ethernet cable infrastructure.
However, In order to connect the devices of different departments within the
organization, The IT manager of the Moulding company need to establish a Wireless connection
which is cost effective as compared to wired connection. So it is strongly recommended to
establish a wireless connection between each department of the company whereas it is fine if the
devices of the particular department are connected with each other using wired technology. So
company should adopt the combination of both wired as well as wireless technology within the
company.
Reliability
Wired technology is more reliable and effective but it consumes more cost which is less
affordable by the firm. So it is suggested for the IT manager of the company to employ the wired
infrastructure to connect the devices and systems within particular department which allows the
transmission of the data and information by more reliable means (Sommer,and et.al., 2018). And
then all the departments are needed to be connected through Wireless technique which allows
the efficient and effective movement and flow of data.
1.2 Upgrading some components along with the establishing of new technology in some
areas.
As the Moulding company is upgrading the networking infrastructure so in order to
establish the connectivity between different devices, IT manager within the company need to
upgrade the networking technology. So there has been improvement in the overall networking
infrastructure of the company. So company have decided to implement the Wireless connection
within the organization. As there are various departments within the company in order to handle
the operational tasks within the organization. Such departments are Accounts, sales, Production,
design, administration and distribution. The new system within the company provisions the own
computing facility within each department (Wang and et.al., 2018). The priority of the
modernize networking infrastructure includes updated Computers which are running latest
Windows Operating system. Along with this, there are various up-gradations within the
company.

Although, Current networking infrastructure of the organization is lacking in scalable
operations and also it cannot reach greater range. So in order to improve the communication and
transmission of the data, there are various up-gradations which are being employed in the
company in order to improve the performance for the expansion of business activities.
 Personal computers are replaced with the new LCD systems that contains windows 10
Operating System.
 All the server systems are Swapped with the cloud based technology and also adopted
new servers that are running on Windows server 2016.
 Systems of the individual department are connected with the Wired LAN which
enhances the data transmission speed along with the reliability.
 Also, Design distribution and production departments are linked with wireless
technology Via broadband wireless connections.
 The new networking infrastructure also includes the Star topology within the individual
department which allows the connection of the all the nodes individually to a central
connection point.
 The effective communication link need to be established within the production, design
sales, and distribution department.
Recommendation: As per my views, company should adopt the overall wireless technology in
order to enhance the data connectivity and communication within different departments of the
Modern Moulding organization. Also Cloud computing technology should be employed which
allow the company to store, manipulate retrieve and update the information using cloud
platform.
1.3 Assumptions regarding the proposed network infrastructure
As the Up gradation of the IT infrastructure within the company requires a lot of cost so
IT manager of the company have to establish efficient and effective networking considering
various cost effective methods (Restuccia, D’Oro,and Melodia, 2018). So already established
wired technology need to be clearly established within individual department which cannot incur
more cost. And then whole network of the organization need to be connected via broadband and
wireless technology in order to prevent the complexities of information exchange within the
organization. In order to advance the networking infrastructure of the company, it can be
suggested to adopt the wireless technology within the company. Also somewhere, wired solution

is used which supports the interconnectivity of the systems within the particular department.
Various assumptions are proposed such that:
 It is assumed that a radio frequency amplifier will be used to increase the power of the
signal within the firm.
 Ground wave propagation will be in the form of signal travels over the surface of the
ground. It is assumed that it helps in regional coverage which allows in establishing the
connection within long and medium wave bands.
 It is assumed that Firewall helps in reducing the traffic and also helps in preventing the
unwanted data loss.
1.4 Issues during the designing of the new networking plan
There are various issues that are raised during the development and up-gradation of the
new networking infrastructure within the company. Such issues are:
 Increased cost
 Understanding the earlier complexed wired technology
 During the development, there has been large amount of data traffic generated.
 One of the most important issue raised is the loss of the data.

Logical design is a conceptual and abstracted design which involves the data
arrangement within the series of logical relationship called attributes and entities. The new
networking infrastructure of the Moulding company includes the Interconnection between
different departments such as Sales, design, production, distribution etc.

It is a kind of system design which represents the internal and internal entities and
functioning of the system. The new network design of the company includes the User interface
along with the input and output of the system (Pattnaikand et.al., 2018). This design includes the
