INTRODUCTION
Computer skills are the computer literacy which defines the ability to use computer and
its related technology. These skills includes levels, from elementary use of computers to
advanced problem solving. In this project report, data of a motor vehicle company is analysed
who is engaged in dealing in second hand vehicles. Data view and formula view of worksheet is
attached in this project report which comprises annual sales of company along with all cost
involvement and employee contribution. Along with worksheets, a bar chart is also attached in
order to present data in statistical form. The main objective of this report is to determine which
employee is contributing highest in the sales revenue so that they can be appraised by bonus.
Various benefits of Microsoft office along with technological advancements are also
discussed in this project.

Analyses and Interpretation
After creating worksheet of monthly sales by employee, it has been analysed that this car
dealership company who is dealing in second hand cars are earning decent amount of sales
revenue. According to the above data view of worksheet, employee B and employee D are

contributing most towards the organisation which is 811000 and 631000 against which they are
also earning bonus. In terms of cost incurred by the company, June month involved maximum
cost of 230000 and January month involved minimum cost of 165385. Five employees named as
employee A,B,C,D and E are working in this organisation who are contributing minimum
200000 of sales per month. December month was the most sales earned period as all employees
earned 25400 euros in total.
In order to motivate and encourage employees, the above mentioned company used
“bonus” the appraisal method. Employee B and D achieved their target sales of 600000 euros
and earned a decent amount of bonus. Finally, total sales earned by all the employees in this year
is 3001000 and total cost incurred in the year was 2308462 which gives annual profit of 692540
which defines that this organisation is earning high revenues and incomes.

Importance of Microsoft office
Microsoft office is a client software which has numerous applications and server software
which are developed by Microsoft in order to satisfy informative technological needs of their
clients. Businesses face a constant battle to increase their profit making ability and productivity.
This software suite provides new technology to the organisations which provides opportunities to
enhance their business processes and generate great revenues. Microsoft office provides
advanced software which helps business entities in improving their data security. The main aim
of this office suite is to increase integration which can help in enhancing level of effectiveness
and efficiency. Application and software range of Microsoft office includes Microsoft Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, Access, Skype, InfoPath and others. These
applications helps in an organisation to create various spreadsheets, documents and presentations
which are necessary for their business activities (Campbell, 2011). Some of the importance and
benefits of Microsoft office are discussed below:
Benefits of Microsoft word
 Data loss prevention – Organisations has few information which are sensitive and can
not be disclosed to the employees and in order to prevent access of that data to
employees, companies can use Microsoft office suite as it allows to scan sensitive data
and protect it from falling in wrong hands. Applications such as OneDrive and Microsoft

Word helps a business to manage all the data and information by using tracking system
(Dorf, 2011).
 Integration – Companies can increase integration and visibility of their business
operations by adopting Microsoft's technology. Application such as Skype and Outlook
helps in instant communication which significantly increase efficiency. Employees of the
organisation can use OneDrive software to conjunct documents prepared on Word and
Excel from multiple locations.
Benefits of Microsoft Skype & OneDrive
 Conferencing – Communication is the essence of management and in order to bring
effective interaction among the company, its important to use technology. Microsoft
Skype provides typical switched telephone network calling system which encompasses
all communication requirements (Khan, 2012).
 Cloud based storage – An organisation has ample of data and information which needs
to be stored securely. OneDrive allows employees to store documents by uploading them
to the cloud which helps them in accessing their documents from anywhere by only
adding unique ID and password.
Benefits of Microsoft PowerPoint & Yammer
 Corporate social network – By using Yammer, organisations can develop their own
social network which makes a structured corporate network in which employees and
superiors of business entity can communicate. Every employee or worker can easily
communicate with each other and will have easy access over this private network.
 Familiar tools – Microsoft office is used by almost every business entity and their
employees are familiar with MS tools which decreases learning curve that comes into
transitioning.
 ROI – Microsoft helps in saving costs of travel and provides information technology
support to the organisation and ultimately result in gain in productivity (Ramdoss, 2012).
The above mentioned points are few benefits which helps an organisation in increasing
their productivity by facilitating them with numerous application which are designed to provide
convenience to their clients. These applications provides custom satisfaction to the user.

Technological advancements which should be used in motor vehicle industry
Technology is the key of success in today's scenario for which it is important to consider
all the technology up gradations which can increase the efficiency of the organisation. Main aim
of these up gradations are to serve company by improving operational capabilities and enhancing
customer experience (Vigdor, 2014). The above mentioned company is engaged in motor vehicle
industry which is a growing sector and in order to gain competitive advantage, this organisation
must use technological advancements which are mentioned below:
Fuel efficient motor vehicles
In order to safe fuel and conserve fuel resources for future, various hybrid vehicles are
introduced which are designed to run hundreds of miles with a less fuel. The above mentioned
company should also sell new or second hand vehicles which are fuel efficient as they are in high
demand. These vehicles are expected to change the future of automotive manufacturers by
launching electric vehicle technology. Electric vehicles are also affordable so that every
individual can build a desire for these vehicles. This technology will increase the productivity of
this company and will help them in increase their annual income (Ramdoss, 2011).
Artificial Intelligence technology
Artificial Intelligence have an important role in the future of automotive industry as it
considered to be beneficial for providing personalised experience. With the help of this
technology, motor vehicles can have an informative system which will benefit the client by the
application preferences and user interface. Artificial intelligence will help this company in
selling those cars which has this technology. Motor vehicles which has predictive technology
provides much better personalised experience by allowing client to use voice commands and
other services (Taylor, 2014).
Business management applications
These applications are user friendly applications which helps an user to manage their
business operations. This organisation deals in motor vehicle which has numerous business
operations which are needed to be managed and maintained. Some of these applications are
cloud computing and internet. Cloud computing help in storing ample of data of various
customers and suppliers, this technology ensures data safety. Apart of cloud computing,

applications related to internet also helps the organisation by providing flexible, secure and cost
effective tools which increases the productivity (Mayer, 2018).
Implementation
The above mentioned points are few technological advancements which should be used
by the organisation specially by organisations engaged in motor vehicle industry. Apart from
these tools, there are several other up gradations which can help an organisation and which
should be considered if a company is planning to expand their business. Few of these other
advancements are Email applications, integration of applications, customer after sale service,
customer feedback, self driven car technology, car as a service technology, web conferencing,
mobile applications and many more.
CONCLUSION
After preparing this project report, it has been observed that computer skills and
technological advancements are the key to successful business organisation. With the help of
data available of the motor vehicle company, various spreadsheets and bar graphs are prepared
so that correct appraisal steps can be taken. Microsoft office is the set of applications which
helps an organisation in increasing productivity of their business operations. Technological
advancements such as artificial intelligence and predictive technologies are the key up gradations
of motor vehicle industry. From the worksheets and bar graphs, it has been concluded that
employee B and D contributed most towards the sales revenue of the organisation and they are
the candidates for annual bonus.
