Report
AI Summary
This report provides a detailed analysis of an Android tablet computer system. It begins by introducing the chosen device, an Android tablet, and highlighting its various features, including the processor, memory, storage, battery, sensors, and connectivity options. The report then delves into the ergonomics of the device, discussing how design considerations impact user comfort and potential injury prevention. The primary storage of the tablet is examined, detailing the internal hard disk and its partitions. The CPU characteristics are explored, with a focus on the Cortex A15 processor and its capabilities. The evolution of the CPU instructions, particularly the use of ARM processors in Android devices, is also discussed. The report identifies the Android operating system as the system used by the tablet, and it outlines the methods used for software creation, including programming languages, GUI platforms, and software testing procedures. The document concludes with a list of relevant references.

1. Chosen device and its function.
Device chosen for the purpose of the assignment is Android Tablet. There are more
than a hundred variety of tablets available in the market that make use of the Android
Operating System (Mascorro et al., 2017). Each one have a varieties of features to
propose. Therefore, to sum it up, these are the features which most of the modern day
tablets have,
an under-clocked processor for limiting the heat-output,
memory chips,
a storage chip along with extra-storage-facility slot,
a battery,
a processor for graphics, speakers and sound processor, sensors like proximity,
accelerometer, light-sensors and compasses
GPS-receiver
Wi-Fi and Cellular antenna
Bluetooth-chip
FM
One or multiple cameras
2. Ergonomics of the device and benefits:
In today’s world, there is an issues with using modern technology which directly
affect the users. Low back injury strain and sprain are common. The goal of ergonomics
is finding the benefits of the people while using the device. The android tablets that are
developed are designed in a manner such that there is a comfortable viewing, proper

working layouts, and are of appropriate sizes (O’Donovan et al., 2016). All these are
done so that the potential injury, soreness or the job hassle can be avoided.
3. Primary storage of android tablets
The primary storage of the tablet is the internal hard disk present within it. It comes
inbuilt and can vary from the size of 4-128GB. There are certain partitions in an internal
primary storage of an android tablet (Tam et al., 2017). The 3 main partitions are Reserved,
data and applications.
4. The main method of device storage:
Internal memory is the main method of the device storage in the system. External
memory card or SD card can be used to store data externally.
5. CPU characteristics
The processor determines the speed of the device. At present Cortex A15 is the
best processor. It has Large physical address extension of 40 bits capable of addressing 1
TB RAM, 17-27 stage floating-point pipeline, DSP NEON SIMD onboard extension,
VFPv4 Floating Point Unit onboard, hardware virtualization, thumb 2, Trust Zone
security and many more (Mao, Harman & Jia, 2016).
6. Instructions of CPU and evolution
ARM is in use for more than a decade in the android devices. QUALCOMM
leads the market in the United States now which includes the ARM processor in self.
High end and the low end 64 bit parts were announced in the year 2014. Qualcomm Snap
Dragon is the most developed software in use today along with Cortex A15 which is
considered as the best.

7. Operating system used by the tablet
Android operating system is used by the device. It is preferred as the interface is user
friendly and installation of application is easier. Android was first launched in 2007. It works
on Linux kernel.
8. Methods used for creating software of this device
o For developing a software a language is needed
o Platform for using the language
o GUI – PHP, CSS, HTML,
o Third party tools like- AIDE, Android build, Corona SDK, Delphi, Hyper-Next
Android creator, and many more
o Software testing for confirmation with different test cases
o Checking device compatibility (repetitive)
