I. Introduction.
In assignment 1, after completing a research project including secondary and primary research, I
collected certain data to support my hypothesis assumption and let the hypothesis have bases when
determined. In this assignment 2, I will evaluate and reflect on the research process based on what I have
learned from the project implementation and my experience of my research work, mistakes, lessons
learned. Experiments, improvements will be in future studies.
II. Reflection of research.
1. Impact of Research proposal.
Research proposals are the first thing to be completed before starting the research process. This
document outlines everything I want to do in my research project, allowing my tutor to make a brief
assessment of my research project, clarity of my research design, level of documentation. The background
is relevant in the implementation of my research project. Depending on the type of research and tutor
feedback, various aspects of the standard proposed design are often highlighted. This proposal shows
discipline, organization and logic in my research project. Therefore, it allows me to compare them with
current proposals for organizational, academic or scientific needs and make the best choice for the project.
Which includes:
The first part is to identify the title, objectives and responsibilities of the research project. This is a
premise, the first step in developing a proposal, considered necessary for the project to study the
recommendation systems. Determining the objectives, responsibilities, vision and scope of the project
helps me determine the scale and impact of this research project, thereby focusing on the necessary goals

These are the steps that are arranged in order for me to complete the project research process and
each step has specific requirements, to carry out the next steps, I need to complete the requirements and
ensure the previous step. there. This allows me not to skip any important information or important
process. However, the steps above have minor changes as they go through, and I have to make some

In the early stages of my project, after completing the selection of the appropriate research
methods, I received feedback from the instructor and changed some steps in this research process that

III. Reflection on the merits, limitations and potential pitfalls of the
chosen methods.
1. Secondary Research.
In my opinion, secondary research is where I can find all the necessary resources and information
related to my research project while secondary research is very time-saving. and effort in collecting that
data. Digital Wellbeing research and data, as well as the effects of the technology, are free and available
on the internet so I can easily read and analyze based on previous research by both experts or people who
have Digital Wellbeing experience and things related to it and technology. Moreover, these documents
are up to date and high quality as they are published and censored quite strictly. Secondary data is
plentiful, varied and comes from different sources.
However, there are too many documents on the Internet about Digital Wellbeing as well as the
effects of technology so it is difficult to assess the accuracy and reliability of data sources and classify them.
If you choose the wrong material will make the study inaccurate, incorrect subject, wrong study.
Moreover, there are some documents that require payment to access and I cannot pay due to my budget
so the documents for this topic still have a certain number.
My main goal when using this secondary research method is that based on the results of secondary
research, I have come up with a range of different theories as well as evaluating the hypotheses of the
researchers. before. From those hypotheses and documents, I have identified specific hypotheses for my
own research project. It is "How smartphone addiction affects the Health and Psychology of students".

2. Primary Research.
After completing the secondary study and identifying his hypothesis: "How smartphone addiction
affects the Health and Psychology of students". I have conducted a primary research including 2 methods
of data collection and analysis. It is the qualitative research method (Interview) and the quantitative
research method (Survey). Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages.
About qualitative research methods with the use of interview methods. I took a representative
sample from Greenwich University students and interviewed 10 people with a list of 8 questions that were
specifically and clearly constructed. However, due to the influence of the Covid 19 translation, my
interview plan has changed, it is shifting from direct interview ssang Online interviews by sending emails
to interview subjects and scheduling Online interviews via internet and technology devices. Because the
plan was changed, I had to reduce the number of interviewers to 6 so as not to affect the next steps. This
is my biggest difficulty when conducting the research method, the interview cannot be interviewed directly
and does not have the flexibility and assessment of their attitude. However, I was still able to gather the
necessary data with their help and complete this method.
About quantitative research methods with the use of survey methods. I conducted a survey with
questions raised about smartphone usage habits and the impact of smartphone addiction on student
health and psychology. Conduct a survey for about 20 students at FPT Greenwich University. Number of
questions: 10 questions. Who: Students studying at FPT Greenwich University in Vietnam. I collect data by
creating a question on the google form and sending it to students so they can answer. With this method it
saves me time and money. However, there are some survey results that do not meet my expectations
because the survey subjects were not honest with their answers. But I still collect data accurately and
effectively.
IV. Roles of Literature review in your project.
In my opinion, literature review plays a very important and necessary role in the research project on "How
smartphone addiction affects the Health and Psychology of students".
Firstly, Literature reviews play a very important role in my research project. Literature review helps
me better understand the definition, advantages and limitations of research methods such as Primary

research and Secondary research, Qualitative research, Quantitative research, Scientific method, research
Processes, Pulation in research. Thereby I can select and identify appropriate research methods in my
research project.
Second, during the literature review process, knowledge exists and the documents studied can be
seen in an overview. In addition, the material for the topic of Digital Wellbeing and technology is rich and
there is a lot of data suitable for my research and the impact of smartphones on student health and
psychology has been proposed in. My material review will be reviewed and responded to by my lecturers,

definitions as well as previous studies on AI and understand how to apply it in my research project. .
Fourthly, Literature reviews helped me to shape the hypothesis and after all the process of studying
the document, it helped me to identify my hypothesis better and started conducting primary research to
get results. Best for research projects.
V. Reflection Project Plan.
In order to complete and carry out project research, a specific implementation plan is needed. So
I developed a research plan using the Gantchart chart, planning and listing the tasks, goals, and activities
that will be implemented in my research project, which will help me to have An overview of his research.

times.
First change, Due to the effects of the Covid 19 epidemic, my plans have changed a lot. It was
expected that the time from January 26, 2020 to April 15, 2020 was not enough time because I had to

January 26, 2020 to April 30, 2020.
The second change, the time to submit asm1 for lecturers, because data collection is more difficult
because of social isolation, the time to complete and get lecturers' feedback is also changed. In addition,

there were some minor changes, but I quickly updated it in detail and carefully as the goal of the study
because I initially prepared the plan carefully and clearly.
VI. How the tutor helped you to create more effective research.
In order for my research project to be carried out and completed effectively, I always interact and
communicate with my teachers through online lessons or send feedback through google classroom.
Firstly, even in the first steps, the instructor has guided and explained to me a better understanding
of Digital Wellbeing and related information, helping us make hypotheses for specific and reasonable
projects, and All important goals need to be completed in the report.
Secondly, in the process of searching documents and information, all questions I can ask and
interact with my lecturers. Any questions or requests are not understood, the instructor is ready to answer
and guide. In addition, in online lessons, lecturers often ask their classmates how much their research has
done, to what extent, my instructors always remind and comment, send feedback on study by my
classmates, and I learned from that.
Third, my teachers always assist me in finding the right materials for my research. Besides, regularly
check and give me specific feedback to complete my research project.
 So the lecturer helped me and my classmates to create more effective research.
VII. Important of participant in research.
In a research project about how students' smartphone addiction will affect their health and
psychology. I choose a sampling method, where probability samples are samples for which each element
of the population has a probability of being selected. Of the two types, random sampling and
representative sample, I chose representative representative because for this project, I will study in the
area of Greenwich University (Hanoi campus), so I will save time and research costs. It will accurately
reflect the study subjects in my research population, so I should take students from the university to
represent for today's youth. I conducted survey to collect data about 20 students of Greenwich University
and interview about 6 students. Because it is not possible to survey all youth classes because the number
is too large and too costly in the research process.

VIII. Present my research result.
To prove the hypothesis in my research topic, I collected data and analyzed the data by interviews
and surveys with students from Greenwich University Vietnam Campus Hanoi). I find that my hypothesis

but this research project is still limited and I will try to fix them in the future.
After completing this research, I will first complete them from the tutor's feedback, I will
summarize my report by Powerpoint, and then give a lecture to the class about this research project.
Presenting ideas in front of classmates is a good way for me to convey my research on the contribution
and harms of digital devices to Greenwich University students. Then, if my research is useful to most
people, it suits Greenwich University students. Because Greenwwich University is a major technology-
intensive university, so the demand for their technology is very high, especially smartphones, laptops, ... I
hope to attend. This research project will help to control technology that allows Greenwich students to
use the full potential of technology and balance their lives. I will post it on Facebook or Greenwich
University student groups on Facebook so they can refer. After that, I will run a newspaper or magazine so
that everyone can see the results of this research project in a specific, clear and coherent manner.
Today, technology devices are popular everywhere in the world, they bring incredible benefits to
people but they also contain unpredictable threats, and we need to balance things out. there. Research

better understand the impact of technology and, most prominently, smartphones on today's youth. From
there, it is possible to find specific solutions to balance life between people and technology. In this project,
I also came up with some specific solutions to help people stay balanced in life and not be enslaved by
technology. One of the outstanding measures in this research project that was collected from the data
collection and analysis process is the use of Digital Wellbeing applications, most of the wellbeing digital
applications are aimed at limited goals, reminds habits, actions of people to technology devices.
Those are useful things that I think this research project gives to people, despite certain limitations,
however, I will try to overcome in future research projects.

IX. Mistakes, lessons learnt, improvements will have in future researches.
1. My mistakes in researches.
To complete a research project requires a lot of factors like a researcher's basic knowledge. I think I do not
have much experience in the research project and still make some mistakes such as:
• Define research objectives and scope: Do not understand the scope and purpose of choosing an
appropriate research topic. So make the next step also skewed from there.
• Identify hypotheses: In the initial steps to find out information of research projects, I often make
mistakes that I skip information-seeking steps, so I do not understand the topic of the research that
made the hypotheses. After being instructed by the instructor, I started to search for specific
documents again, verify the documents, and finally identify the lecture.
• Finding the documents that are not the focus of the research project: The documents I searched
have very little relevance to my project, and I have not yet determined the focus of the project so
there is a lot of limitations and must be improved in subsequent projects.
• Data collection: In data collection, the formulation of questions with interviews and surveys has
many limitations and shortcomings. For example, when formulating interview questions, their
content is not in-depth and does not get the opinions and assessments of each interviewee. When
formulating survey questions, it was still ambiguous, there were no clear data and guaranteed the
accuracy of quantitative research.
• Data analysis: From the raw data collected from the research process, no analysis, evaluation and
conclusions have been made to thoroughly apply such data, so it needs to be improved.
• Planning: In this research project, I built a plan table based on the Gant Chart. However, this chart
is limited because I had to update it many times so it was not really good. Because each change will
affect other stages.
2. My lesson learnt in research.
Besides the mistakes in the research process, I have drawn some test lessons for myself as follows:
• Firstly, clearly and correctly define the objectives and scope of the project so that the research
project is not wrong from the first step.

• Second, read carefully the requirements and guidelines in the study to be able to clearly identify
the topic of his research. Do not skip the search steps for documents and information related to
the topic. Because you have to understand the topic well enough to make a hypothesis for your
research project. Ask for the help of the instructor for specific instructions and to once again
determine your theory.
• Thirdly, Searching materials as well as primary research methods, documents ensure its necessary
purpose when searching. It is necessary to search for documents that are directly related to your
research topics and hypotheses.
• Fourth, Data Collection needs to be prudent and collected in the right direction. Develop
questionnaires that fit each of the different methods. Ask the instructor and friends to check the
questions to see if they are appropriate before collecting data and information. The questions must
follow proper standards, without sensitive information such as religion, racism, gender, etc. and
follow a common pattern.
• Fifth, before planning, it should shape the social situation, the overall situation and minimize the

These are some of the experiences I have gained from this research project. First of all, after doing
