for the community and it also includes one recommended name of charity organisation after
the analysis.

Introduction
As the company has decided to donate for the cause of pandemic Covid-19 relief, it is
important for Conestoga College to choose the right kind of charity organisation so that the
fund is utilised properly. In the currents situation, most of the charity firms have developed
their own strategies to help people in communities. Below is the information of three most
apt charity organisations. The analysis of the organisation information is done in this report
so that the most eligible organisation can be selected and recommended. The report will also
provide some insights of how the charity is going to influence the students of Conestoga
College and the image of the college.

million meals. The total number of people helped by the organisation was 34,552.

Total revenue for the company, including the amount of food they distributed, was $15.5-
million last year. $2.5 million was collected from donations and about $ 1 million came from
government agencies and others. $200,000 was spent on food purchasing and the building
cost for the organisation was $300,000.
Charity organisation 3: SHOW
Services and Programs of the Charities
Supportive Housing of Waterloo or the SHOW works for providing affordable houses to the
needy people. The organisation is relatively new but has achieved some mile stones in their
mission already. It is an organisation that has founded two buildings for the homeless people.
One is 30 one-bedroom apartments and the other has 9 tenants in it. In the time of Covid-19,
the organisation is helping the people who have lost their jobs and do not have access to a
safe and secure living place. Other than that the apartments of the organisation also have
healthcare and food facilities. Ion the time of pandemic the organisation is helping the people
to get assistance from housing units and get subsidies of HAWS.

39 permanent tenants in the apartments. Other than that continuously working with

people. Through the charity organisation, the fund donated by the college can help the needy
people. As this pandemic has affected the economy of the country immensely, the donations
would definitely help the community people to get a better support system at once. Unlike the
other two organisations, the SHOW did not concentrate only on one aspects like food. It is a
charity firm that works for the overall support and protection of the rights of healthy living in
their region.

The students of Conestoga would be motivated for the moral aspects of their society.
Donations always create a great humanitarian impact for the mind. The students of the
college would feel proud for their institution and would be encouraged to help the needy at

would spread a positive message for the rest of the world. There is no doubt in the fact that,
people would appreciate the initiative by the college and this might be helpful in attracting
the attention of new students.

The initiative by the Conestoga College can be proved to be the inspiration for the students
and many other people in the local community and in the academic sections. But, mere
raising the fund is not the solution, the institution has to make sure that the fund is utilised in

reputed charity firms of the locality. The analysis has helped to select SHOW as the apt
organisation whom the college can hand over the donation. The organisation has the
capability to invest the money in the overall development of the community during the
Covid-19 crisis. This donation would also cast a positive impact on college image and would
motivate the students to contribute their share in humanitarian causes. Therefore, it is
recommended to Conestoga College to donate their charity fund to SHOW.
