Organization Profile and Program Concept Description
Organizational profile
The concerned organization, Kitchener Waterloo library is a space where people borrow
infrequently used items such as different tools, garden equipment, kitchen appliances or camping
gear (Kwlot.ca., 2020). The organization is located in 91 Moore Ave.Kitchener (Kwlot.ca.,
2020). The membership charges for the library is $50/year which would enable the members in
borrowing any items for a week (Kwlot.ca., 2020). The organization aims at maintaining the
sustainability standards through empowering a philosophy based on sharing.
Program concept description
The recreational program that might be held in the organization would include a range of
activities under a single workshop for adhering to the recreational needs of the special children.
The program would include activities like adaptive sports. The activities would focus on
alleviating their level of stress and emotional wellbeing of the participants. Eminent
psychotherapists and volunteers along with an acclaimed coach would administer the
whereabouts of the different activities that are undertaken by the children. In this connection, the
4 days’ workshop is intended to contribute to their physical and mental wellbeing of the
participants.
Data Collection
Survey questions
The survey questions would primarily identify the needs of the special children towards
recreation. The questions would identify the major contributors of the recreational program to the
mental and physical wellbeing of the special children. Moreover, the survey would also identify
whether the children would face challenges while participating in the adaptive sports event.

Finally, the survey will be taking the initiative of identifying the adapted sports and recreational
activities that the children would like to participate in. Again, the evaluation of the overall
workshop is being taken in the form of a feedback from the parents of the special children for
whom the workshop activities would be undertaken. Therefore, through the survey observation
on the recreational needs of the special children the reasonability of applying the workshop will
be conceived.

Focus group
The focus group for the survey, while assessing the needs of the workshop, will be the
parents of the special children. It is believed that lack of recreational activities results to
increasing stress among the special children and creates a negative impact on their physical and
mental wellbeing. In this connection, the parents would be surveyed with the purpose of
assessing the suitability the workshop while assessing the recreational needs of the special

children. A sample size of 100 participants would be selected for the survey. A set of 7 closed
ended questions would be posed to the parents while identifying their viewpoints on the
recreational activity and the manner in which they feel it would contribute to the wellbeing of the
children. Lastly, the survey would identify the perspective of the parents and the adaptive sports
that might be included in the workshop for adhering to the recreational needs of the special
children. The questionnaire would be circulated among the parents in pen and paper and the
responses from the participants would be collected and analyzed through SPSS.
Conclusion
Therefore, the survey analysis would assist in identifying the recreational needs of the
children in Kitchener Waterloo library. The concept of a recreational workshop is being framed
which involved a set of different activities. The objective of the recreational activity for the
children is to improve their mental and physical wellbeing while easing on their stressors.
Finally, a survey questionnaire is being created with the purpose of collecting feedbacks from the
parents to identify the applicability of the recreational activities.
