INTRODUCTION
Event management, is an aspiring field for doing business and generally, includes
conceptualisation, organising and planning. Event management is not only restricted to
handing various kinds of props or taking care of logistics it is more than that (Andam and et.
Al., 2015). In regards to this, file PIDGIN, is the company which is taken into consideration
thus, this report will incorporate various dimensions of events which are required to be
considered while organising an event. Mainly, company organise a wedding event in which
they provide specific services to its clients as per their requirenments. Moreover, current
trends, categories of events are explained with examples so as to have a proper
understanding.
1. Introduction
In order to conduct or organise an event it is important that event management
company identify its target audiences and plan the logistics because they are the one to whom
the services and facilities will be provided (Dowson, 2016). It can be said that event
management is a very creative filed and requires effective communication skills and there
might be a possibility that a person need to work on odd hours.
2. Different categories and dimensions of events with the help of examples
These days, because of globalisation, event management is high on demand and most
of the companies are thinking of doing business in this field as an alternative option. Most of
the large companies are hiring small event management companies for providing a wide
range of services (Knight and Cumming, 2014). Although, event management is an
interesting field but requires a lot of time and sometimes becomes stressful. Moreover, while
talking about, event management it can be categorised into three categories i.e. private,
corporate and charity. However, all these categories are explained below for better
understanding:
Private: as its name suggests, activities that are organised with a personal reasons and
need only certain guest to attend the same, which means those events can only be attended by
those who are in the guest list and the individual who throw the event, doesn’t want any other
person as their guests, which means not open to public. Basically, this includes events like
wedding, birthday parties, festival gatherings etc., nowadays, companies are looking for the

venues that are suitable and according to the requirement as well. For example: PIDGIN, can
start with conducting private parties and organise wedding events for the same as this will
help the, in establishing themselves in this field.
Corporate: this is considered to be an event that is organised for and by the businesses
and can be for employees, clients, stakeholders etc., most probability the what audiences can
be included depends upon the aims for conducting the same (Ducoffe and et. Al., 2016).
Moreover, corporate events are conducted for developing better relationships and for
expanding the brand meaning. For example: a company launched a new product and the
product was a success so, to celebrate the achievement company will include those members
who belongs to their company or who are associated with them. Furthermore, it can be said
that corporate events can be categorised into different events such as conferences, seminars,
meetings etc.,
Charity or Fundraising: this is the last category and is related with the good deeds.
Events that comes under this category was organised with the purpose of raising funds so that
it can be utilised for supporting a community, severe health issues and many more. Basically,
it can be said that charity or fundraising is done to make people aware about the information
which is important for an individual to undertake. For example: PIDGIN, can organise an
event for raising funds for poor and needy people who are homeless as well.
Therefore, these are all the dimension that are available in the market and PIDGIN, can
adopt in terms of establishing themselves in the field of event management.

trends that impact event sector
There are several developments taking place in the event industry, demand as well as
the interest of customers are growing with the passage of the time. In relation to PIDGIN,
members of society chose to purchase those services which are new to the industry, so it is
crucial for event organizations to report factors that have an influence on public perceptions.
As PIDGIN is focus on organizing wedding events to their clients to improve their
satisfaction level. In this context, there are current trends that put their impact over the event
company are as follows:

examples
Innovation and creativity play a significant role in every event i.e. wedding party as it
helps in providing unique services that assist in influencing customers towards its offerings.
By including innovative technology, company can easily invite more and more customers and
also established its competitive image in market (McCabe and Balzano, 2014). Currently,
digital technology has been one of the significant latest market trends used within the event
sector. The event manager could also implement programs in another location with the help
of digital transformation. In regards, digital technologies are established by event organisers
who enable throughout the development and customer of operations in other nations in an
appropriate manner.
5. Critically evaluate development of event sector by using specific examples
The events market is changing and increasing business expansion, because as current
craze of hosting activities has become successful and professional. It is expected that perhaps
the growth of the event sector is having a direct and indirect effect. When there is discussion
of beneficial influence, it will enable corporations and people to organize meetings and
parties inside the spending plan. In this context, the wedding planner is trying to conduct
research in order to obtain knowledge about current developments so that he might
implement and offer anything unique to customers and fix the requisite skills. It has a
negative effect as it decreases the sense of innovation of people who would prefer to create
use of event mangers for arranging party candidates.
6. Event layout design to set up wedding party to achieve client requirements
Design plays a crucial role inside a venue that appears to give meaningful service to
consumers and customers also. In reference to the designs of rooms for weddings, it's also
established that now the top management of the organization have to optimize the
effectiveness in just such a way as and will provide the client with a significant level of
experience and meet their requirements. With the help of this, event manager can easily attain

manager organises a layout for wedding party room as per customers’ needs and wants that
support them in spreading awareness about their event in market place.
For designing this event, customer provide list of 50 guest and also give proper theme
that i.e. while and purple. The main focus of company is to provide best possible services to
its customers. In this the client is requested to make per person package only. They also
requested for two welcome drink, hot and cold canapes, three course meal along with coffee
and tea. All these are important for Pidginto includes in their menu and also ensure that all
the dinks and dishes are available for every guest (Nieminen and et. Al., 2014). Clients also
requested for white table line, coloured like chair covers along with this they also asked for a
glass of toasting bubbly for speeches. Furthermore, it is important for company to provide
excellent services to its customers in which they provide them proper setting arrangement,
best lighting, sound system, special chairs for customers and many more. Furthermore, they
also provide positive and comfortable area in which every guest feels safe and comfortable.
All these services may support in making wedding party more successful and best.
CONCLUSION
As per preceding report it can be concluded that managing event and conference is
important for every business organization who wants to expand their functions. As it is also
beneficial in providing opportunities in which firm can easily capture larger marker share
from its competitors. This is the reason that event manager is responsible for managing the
same that support in inviting more and more customers towards its services. In this regards,
different categories of event along with its feature and current trends is also directly put their
impact over the event company at the time of operating in market. Along with this,
development of an effective and successful event is also help meeting all the customers needs
and make them more satisfied with company products and services. With the assistance of
this, firm can easily establish its competitive edge at market place.

make it successful. Current project is based on the Pidgin, is a restaurant company that
operate their business in over the world with the aim of establishing their competitive image.
Firm also wants to expand their business and for this company organize an event to promote
awareness in market place and customers as well.

manager in which they allocate task according to their abilities and current situation
as well. With the help of this, workers can easily perform their task and attain their set
targets. Along with this, manager is also responsible for analysing the employee’s

hotel sector so that event manager is responsible for follow the same. In this, manager ensure
that all the guest who are attending the event have visiting card along with all the required
IDs and other documents. With the help of this, manager of event can easily provide safe
environment for all the customers and keep them secure as well (Dhanalakshmi and et. Al.,
2018).
Develop security points: It is one of the important measures that is required by every
customer while the visit the event as it help in keeping all the guest safe and secure without

that both safety and security is totally different from each other because security is focus on
eliminating threats and on the other side, safety is unintended from threats. Thus, it is crucial
for event manager to includes both activity at the time of organizing event through which
they can easily make it more successful along with proper safety and security.

From the above-mentioned report, it can be summarised that in a business organization
there are different type of management roles that is followed by the top authority in order to
accomplishing all the targets in an effective manner so that they can easily manage particular
event and conference as well. In addition of this, appropriate management skills, attributes of
individual is also beneficial that support in attaining all the predetermined goals and
objectives in stipulated time frame. For attaining the same, flexible working environment and
proper management of staff members is also important in which employees tries to put their

responsible for keeping all the safety measures at the time of executing task activities so that
