‘CHANGES TO SAFETY STANDARD LAWS FOR GYM EQUIPMENT’
The Australian and New Zealand Association of Gymnasium Equipment Designers and
Manufacturers wished to hold conference at Hilton Hotel on Surfer’s Paradise, Gold Coast, a
holiday destination resort in remote Australia. The aim of this conference is to develop
consciousness and safety management among health-conscious people and for that the various
designers and manufacturers need to be upgraded to the latest safety standards for gym
equipment (Scott,Neville and Hua, 2014).
The conference will be a 2 days event which is to be attended by almost 50-80 designers
and manufacturers. The registration fee is 50 dollar and accommodation costs for the delegates
will only be provided (if other members of delegates wish to join they have to bear their own
expenses) The details of the conference are mentioned below. All delegates are heartily invited
to join the conference and make it a grand success.
The conference will start on 10th January and will commence on 11th January evening
followed by a gala dinner party on the final day. The program will start in the early morning of
10th at 9am sharp. First there will be a welcome speech by the Chairman of The Australian and
New Zealand Association of Gymnasium Equipment Designers and Manufacturers and then two
plenary session of speech and presentation will follow. In the first session 2 guest speakers

across the globe are invited where they will make presentations and keynote speeches on the
topic (Culén, Finken and Bratteteig, 2013). This will be followed by first tea break session. The
next session everybody could take active participation in discussing the importance of having
safety standards for the gym equipment and how they could be achieved effectively. The session
will end in lunch break where all delegates will have to go to the lobby hall for having their
lunch. After lunch session comprises of gaming session where a number of on the spot games are
arranged which will be fun filled and interesting on one hand and on the other will also impart
learning about gym and its equipment. Role playing will also be an active part of the game
session where delegates will have to play various roles and act accordingly. The second tea break
will conclude the conference for the first day.
The second day of the conference will be out-house session. Site visit, field trip to nearby
natural attractions and visit to some innovative businesses (McKenna-Cress and Kamien, 2013).
All delegates are required to report to Mr. Joe, the in-charge of the conference at the Trinity hall
of the hotel sharp at 8am. They should have their breakfast within 8am and should come in
casual dress having their ID Cards. Members of the delegates can also join but should intimidate
Mr Joe before 8pm the previous evening. Vehicles are to be arranged accordingly. The whole
day will be out-field day exploring various natural sights and some innovative gym services.
Gym services will be provided by trade fair at a nearby location, displaying latest innovations in
gym equipment (Freestone and Amati, 2014). The trip will end at 4 pm and all delegates will
return to their respective rooms, freshen up and dress up themselves for the grand gala dinner
party starting at 7.30 pm. There will be music, recreation, dance floors, food, drinks and lastly DJ
party. The dinner will be a buffet style dinner and there will be starters, main course and deserts
as well. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food are to be provided. Small games full of fun are

arranged like singing songs, musical chair, couple dance etc. are also arranged. There is proper
dress code for the dinner party. Men in black suits and bow tie. Women in black party dress
especially gowns. An award ceremony event is also arranged and the best delegate will win the
award based on performance, participation, enthusiasm and other such criteria. The dinner party
is the end of the program and all delegates are requested to check out the early morning the next
day for their as well as our convenience.
