performance while dealing with patient in health and social care (Dean, 2017). This project will
focus on breach and process to deal with the same according to the NMC codes of conduct. It
will also include the discussion about connection between self-awareness and professional
development.

Breaching can be described as a practice to break law, agree and codes of conduction which is
responsible for developing a major issue. It includes the practice of care professionals in regards
to mistaken to obey codes of conduct which can create some problem for patients condition or
some clinical errors (Damgård and et. al., 2018). Basically, it is observed that specific process to
require to be followed in order to deal with occurred breach in health and social care. It is
necessary to follow several steps to complete the entire procedure which is mentioned here.
Step 1: Identify vulnerabilities – It consist the criterion of evaluating actual root of particular
problem and isolate any issues to stop the breach.
Step 2: Seek professional legal and security counsel – This includes the way of seeking
assistance from legal and security professionals to make proper decision of dealing with specific
breach in healthcare.

strict breach notification process (Griffith, 2019).
Step 4: Address risks – This involves the criterion of take actions restoring data from clean

situation because a minor medical problem may create major social problem for an individual
from which they may even suffer for a life long duration (Siniscalchi, 2018). However, self-
awareness of various codes of conduct, legislations and ethics is helpful to enhance professionals
skills as well as abilities of an individual. It will facilitate to make clinical skill perfect in order to
deliver better quality of care.

The above assignment can be concluded that breaches are required to be evaluated in healthcare
and follow desired process to deal with then in effective manner. It is necessary for nursing staff
and professionals to follow NMC code of confidentiality to provide desired treatment for
wellbeing of people.
