INTRODUCTION
In this report I'm going to discuss about my preferred ideal job which is to become a
construction consultant which will help me use my academic and employ-ability skills so that I
can grow and develop both personally and professionally. Also in this report I'll discuss about a
job description for my ideal job along with sources where I can find the opportunity to apply for
the job.
MY IDEAL JOB
My ideal job is to become a construction consultant who helps clients to make sound
preparations for their projects so that the projects can get completed within time and the
stipulated cost. This job interests me due my practical, analytical and logical skills which helps
me to properly estimate the budget of projects, select the best contractors in the market that will
do quality work within the cost allocated for project and also I can resolve various problems that
arise while completing a project. I am also good at planning and have good estimation skills
which will help me in giving strong and fool proof plans to the companies so that their projects
get completed within time and cost. I would like to work in Balfour Beatty which is
multinational infrastructure group based in UK and provide construction services, support
services and infrastructure investments. I would like to work in this company as it is the biggest
construction contractor in UK. This company will give me growth opportunities as many projects
will be handled under my supervision which will help me in giving my best to the assigned job.
Further, my efficiency will help the company in enhancing its brand image as all the projects will
be completed in an efficient manner and within the cost of the project.
A JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THIS ROLE
Under my preferred job I will use my skills of planning and forming cost budget for the
projects my clients want to undertake so that their project gets completed within time and
stipulated budget. Also I'll use my communication skills so as to make the clients understand
about the technical information. Further I will prepare contracts and select the best contractors so
that the project gets completed in the desired manner.
After 4 years of pursuing my career as a construction consultant I'll become efficient in
my work which means that the management of projects under my supervision will help the
clients in completing their projects within their budgets. It will help me in making a good

reputation in the market so that I can also open my own construction company and can compete
efficiently with big giants in the construction sector like Balfour Beatty.
As this job will help me in achieving great heights in my career the job seekers will
increase for becoming construction consultants. This will also increase the presence of good
construction consultants in the market which will ensure that the infrastructures are built at low
costs and following the quality check control methods. This will help construction industry to
grow in UK and also the infrastructure of the country will become strong giving best
infrastructures to the people.
RESOURCES THAT CAN HELP ME IN SEEKING JOB
There are various resources which can help me in seeking my ideal job by matching my
skills and interests with the job vacancies that are present in the market so that I can know about
the existing vacancies in the companies for construction consultants. Following are some of the
tools which may enable me to find my ideal job : LinkedIn : It is an American social networking site which provides employment oriented
services to the candidates who are seeking jobs. LinkedIn can be assessed through
websites and mobile apps for free. It is a professional site and helps the candidates in
making connections, sharing resumes and searching for suitable jobs that is according the
skills, experiencers and academic backgrounds of the people. I can open my LinkedIn
account through mobile app and can upload my resume on it so that I can come across
job vacancy for construction consultant in the companies. Facebook : It is an American online social media and social networking service which
helps in connecting people over all across the world. On this platform various pages are
present which can be liked and followed so that they can give information about the
available vacancy in the market for the desired jobs. Facebook helps in connecting
communities and bringing together the people so that they can be made aware of the
activities that are taking place in a company. I can follow Balfour Beatty and otherr
construction company pages along with the pages of some famous recruitment companies
so that I can know about any possible vacancy in my preferred job.
 Indeed : It is an American worldwide employment related search engine which offers
free access to millions of jobs from various company websites and job boards. This helps
in increasing the access of candidates to a lot many jobs that are available in the market. I

can make my account on indeed along with uploading my resume so that I can know
about any possible vacancy that will be available for my preferred job.
CONCLUSION
From this report it can be conclude that my preferred job is to become a construction
consultant in UK's largest construction company which will help me in using my skills so that I
can grow and develop in my career. Various sources can be used my me to explore opportunities
where I can apply for my ideal job such as LinkedIn, Facebook etc.
