The roles within the constrution industry that has been considered are:
Town Planner: town planners are class of urban or regional planners who concentrate on
making a specific town economically effecacious and environment friendly by working
together with regional officers. They analyse and research on ways by which town can be
imporoved. Role of town planner is related to architect’s role as depending on architect’s
plannning and landscaping the town planner can eliminate or ease social, environment and
economic difficulties within the town. The designs and plans developed by town planner are
coordinated and managed by construction design managers during projects. Town planners
design projects for development of town which are implemented by corporate decisions under
CEO of construction firms as well as operations and resources are managed (Isa and Kalsum,
2019). Town planners responsibility is to create plans for town development and regulate
these plannings. The intention of WHS in relation to town planners role is to insure that
adequate process are in place to cope with related risks of complex construction projects.
Qualification required is Masters degree in Civil Engineerign/Architecture. ISOCARP is
association that supports town planners. Experienced town planners can progress in career to
role of Chartered Town Planner and then become Senior Planners.
Architect: architects are professionals who design and build project planning in construction
and are accountable for visual appearance of buildings and structures. An architect with their
functional and artistic abilities builds architecture planning before final structural design. The
role of architect is related to town planners as architects design building planning after getting
approval and recommendation from town planners on how the land will be utilised and what
kind of things will be required to fulfil needs of community. Further role of architects is even
related with construction design managers who coordinate and organise design and
construction procedures in the building of office complexes, residential areas and industrial
structures. Architects design buildings and structures while construction design managers
work on projects from inception to completion as well as coordinates with contractors for
different activities of operations (Luo, Zhang and Sher, 2017). All operations and
procurement of construction services is performed under decision of CEO which enables
completion of projects that are designed by architects. In relation to WHS, architects need to
insure that structures designed by them are with minimal or without risks at any time.
Qualification required for architects is bachelors or master degree in architecture course and
Association of Licensed Architects (ALA) supprts all architects related to this profession.

The career structure for Architects includes Design Architect, Project Manager, Urban
Designer.
Construction design manager: these professionals coordinate all the design work needed
during construction projects and they administer the production of technical drawings and
planning utilised to build a structure. The role of construction design manager is to bring
together architects, structural and service engineers as well as specialist designers and BIM
techincians to develop coordinated designs that can be utilised during the building and can
support maintenance of the structure once finished (Emmitt, 2016). Role of construction
design manager is related to architects role as design managers coordinate activities to
complete building of structures that are designed and planned by architects. Also construction
design managers execute development layouts made by town planners by coordinating
operational activities for completion of structural projects. Moreover CEO’s of construction
projects offer strategic planning and decisions based on which design managers operate
activities to complete the constructions. Construction Design Managers need to insure
compliance of health and safety, design, site management, safety in design under WHS
guidelines (Shalwani, Lines and Smithwick, 2019). To become Construction Design
managers the minimum level of qualification required is BTEC in Building Studies, Building
Engineering or Building Management and International Construction Project Management
Association supports these design managers. The Construction design managers can progress
in career to become BIM managers and Project Directors.
Chief Executive Officer: the responsibility of CEO of construction project firms is to build

dimensions of company. Further CEO’s role is to oversee budget, resource allocation to
insure proper completion of construction projects and even insures proper operation of plans
with proepr use of resources. The role of CEO is related to town planners role as these

plans made by town planners. Also CEO’s allocate resources and budget to initiate and
complete architectural plans and designs that are made by architects as well as CEO’s even
supervise operational activities undertaken by construction design managers to insure that
projects are completed as per schedules and planning. Chief Executive Officers in
construction projects are responsible to operate and supervise construction activties by
