Extinguishers are used by removing the pin from the top and pressing on the handle
while pointing it at fire. It should be ensured that it won't affect other people on
construction site. Proper training should be provided to workers to used them.

protection, should be used, relating to moving, handling and/or storing resources, and the
types, purpose and limitations of each type, the work situation, occupational use and the
general work environment, in relation to:
– collective protective measures
– personal protective equipment (PPE)
– respiratory protective equipment (RPE)
– local exhaust ventilation (LEV)
Collective protective measures are used for safety of employees from any kind of fire
hazard. Personal protective equipment are necessary for safety of workers during
construction as it helps in affecting their respiratory system. Respiratory protective
equipment are important for protect workers form toxic and irritant vapors such as
gases, dusts etc.
