AI Summary
This document presents a comprehensive construction management project analysis. It includes a detailed breakdown of deliverables, such as a project schedule developed using MS Project, a budget allocation categorized by various cost elements (engineering design, land acquisition, construction, etc.), and a critical path analysis identifying the project's key activities and their dependencies. The analysis highlights the project's timeline, revealing a total estimated duration of 53.6 months, exceeding the initial 30-month deadline, and calculates the potential penalties associated with the schedule overrun. The budget analysis confirms the project's financial feasibility, remaining within the allocated budget of $35,000,000 even after considering additional costs. The project also details the critical path, identifying activities without slack and those directly impacting the project's completion date. This project provides a practical application of construction management principles, including time management, cost control, and risk assessment.

From the table shown above, it can be said that the 30 months deadline cannot be met as
the total time required considering all the lag times, delays (known and unknown) and other
schedule related issues is 53.6 months.
According to the schedule developed, the critical path of the project is as follows.
Task Name Duration Start Finish Total Schedule Float

The main criterion for the critical path of the project is that the activities should not
contain any slack / schedule float and hence, the critical path of this project does not start from
the beginning of the project.
Furthermore, the budget sheet is developed considering all known costs, extra costs and
internal costs and is shown in the following table.

TOTAL BUDGET $33,269,200
It has been found that even after considering all the additional costs and unforeseen
expenses, the total budget is within the allocated budget of $35,000,000. Hence, the project is
feasible financially and can be conducted as per the given terms and conditions.
Answer to Deliverable 4
The estimated time given for the project was 30 months whereas the actual time required
for the project is 53.6 months. Considering the non-penalizable period of 6 months, the
additional time required for the project is 17.6 months. Hence, the total penalty to be paid is
$(5000*17.6*30) = $2,640,000.
