2ARTICLE SUMMARY
Introduction
The thorough study of this paper has represented the concept of construction projects
and their comparison in different countries to find out the reasons of success and failure
factors. The study has brought about the ideas that different countries use during their
construction projects and how the differences in their project management concepts resulting
into either successful project or failed projects (Kashikar et al. 2016). In this context, the
differences in the approaches for construction projects in India and other countries have been
put forward to find out why Indian projects are delayed and why other countries like Japan
have no cases of delay in their works. The following critical analysis would bring about more
details about the discussions in the article that find out the differences in project management
approaches; for etching out the best approach of project management for implementing to the
construction industry.
Summary of the main topics
The article began with a lecture on Project Management approaches where the
discussion was about the poor construction project management and how India has not been a
poor country to have delayed projects but instead, it has been a country with poor project
management approaches. The Indian Construction Industry are not found to be falling behind
the project management approached used by the other countries (Kashikar et al. 2016).
Mostly, the research suggests that the other countries like Japan have been focusing even
more on the reduction of the wastes in a project and also have proven to be successful with
this approach.
The paper thus attempts to research about the understandings if the projects managers
all around the world are aware of the agile project management and lean approaches and their
usefulness in making a project successful. More specifically, the paper is looking forward to

the utilization of the lean and agile project management methods and bring project success to
the Mumbai environment. The paper explains the adopted methodology, the requirement of
the research, the experienced hindrances, the analysis of the issues and the specific
identifications of the results concluding the major findings through the assignment.
Aim or purpose
The primary aim of the research is to study the implementation of agile and lean
project management approaches and the resulting success factors to make the project
managers in India learn from them (Kashikar et al. 2016). This is because, the findings would
make the project managers in India understand how the wastes can be reduced and at the
same time how success factors can be maximized for the projects in construction industry in
India.
Conclusion
Therefore, in conclusion it can be said that the topic of the research paper was for
understanding why there were delayed construction projects in India and how the situations
are most likely to improve with the utilization of lean and agile methods for the construction
project management with references to the implementation of the same in other countries.
The comparison could help the Indian project managers learn the beneficial effects of using
wastage reducing project management methods for construction industries.
