This report delves into the fundamental concepts of civil engineering, exploring the relationship between water flow and construction. It examines how structures like dams are built to manage water, and how the direction of water can be controlled. The report also touches upon the challenges of building on various terrains, and the materials and techniques used to ensure structural integrity and resistance to natural forces. Furthermore, it outlines the importance of practical experience through internships, and how it can enhance a student's understanding of the field. The report also highlights potential career paths, including starting one's own construction firm, and the importance of innovation in design and architecture. I had likelihood to acknowledge the facts that when water flows the pillar or support can
be built in, why it does not flow when water comes in a speed when person who knows how to
swim can drown so how a stone made substance can stand firm irrespective the speed of water.
How dams are being built, ways in which direction of water can be changed, how to measure
water in a river and create the process of construction and there are many more questions to
which I need to have answer though they are not restricted as well as can be taken as a childish
thought. But fact is this only, along with this other questions involves how roads get damaged
even if it they are newly made or buildings fall down how this is probable when they are being
constructed on plane area and not on water. What has to be added in concrete so that it can
withstand the pressure of any natural resource or breakage of wall when something strikes hard
on it. The zeal and passion to have answer to this question helped to think about this as my
option to go with for engineering. This all seems interesting but involves lots of science to
understand the certain concepts behind this. This is the reason that I want to go for civil
engineering.
I have opted for HND College for my education in civil engineering the reason that it is
renowned place that furnishes ample of opportunities for their students by providing them with
theoretical knowledge along with practical execution. For this, they provide their students with
hands on session where they can have an internship program in which they can work under some
construction firm and learn practical knowledge with respect to ways in which theoretical
information can be implemented. This will lead me to acquire the relevant information as by
doing practical I can have more understanding related with concept instead of cramming theory.
This will also have affirmative impact on my career as will have adequate knowledge related
with working project then this will make it easy to answer to all the questions adequately that are
being raised by interviewer. In addition to this, by pursuing my studies I will be able to take my
own construction projects by taking relevant license from government and can start my own firm
and can bring in innovations within layouts, their interiors and architecture so that I can capture
customers towards them. From perspectives of career I think I will be having bright future if I
invest my years in relevant manner within the college.
