Analysis of Worker Injuries in Construction: A Research Project

This research project investigates the persistent issue of construction worker injuries despite the implementation of safety management systems. The study focuses on identifying the causes of accidents in construction sites, using data collected from 150 workers across three different worksites in Singapore. Through interviews and regression analysis, the project aims to uncover the factors contributing to these injuries, examining potential shortfalls in management's safety plans and worker adherence to safety protocols. The research addresses key questions regarding the reasons for injuries, management's role in ensuring safety, and the effectiveness of implemented precautionary measures. The report includes a literature review of construction hazards, accident rates, and existing safety practices. Findings and analysis are presented, including demographic data and regression analysis results. The project concludes with recommendations for improving worker safety and suggestions for future research, offering valuable insights into mitigating workplace accidents in the construction industry.
