INTRODUCTION
Self development is important to progress in career and to gain necessary skills and
potential which will further help in growth & success (Geisinger, 2016). The current report is an
reflection which comprises necessary skill and potential that are required to perform a specific
task. In addition, it also includes some crucial competencies and abilities which are required to
acquire by an individual to progress in career. Here, some gaps and the areas that need further
improvements are also identified in current report. Lastly, it also includes various skills and
potential need to develop by an individual to perform various job roles at work place.

TASK 1
Skills that are required to develop for the success of assigned project
Every project provides some new insights and experience that helps a person to perform
better in future. It helps to develop effective skills and abilities as during project individuals have
to face several difficulties which will prepare them for future hardships & constraints. While
working on this project I got great exposure which is essential to develop different skills &
potential. Some of the abilities are given as under:
Time Management: Time is precious and need to manage in an effective manner that
will help to attain predefined goals and objectives. It is a significant skills which I developed
throughout the project and able to complete it within predefined time period. I had tom perform
several task during project. For this, I prepared proper schedule so that all necessary activities
can be completed in stipulated period of time (Robichaux, 2016). Time management skill is
crucial for an individual to maintain an proper balance between personal and professional life.
Ans, this project really helped me to manage time in an effective manner.
Team working and leadership: During project, I was leading the team of several
individuals that developed exponential leadership skill in me. I was not only responsible to guide
subordinates but also analyse their work on timely basis so that project will be completed
successfully. Leadership skills assist me to perform better in future and handle team effectively
at work place.

Communication Skills: Communication skills are vital to convey necessary information
from one person to other. It helps an individual to interact with others in an effective manner. In
professional world, it is highly significant to have good communication skill to ensure future
growth & success. During project, I was responsible to interact with internal as well as external
parties which helps me to develop great communication skills and also boost my confidence
level.
Analytical skills: While handling project, I had to deal with numbers and perform various
calculation that will help me to improve higher analytical skills. In addition, it will provide me an
exponential opportunity to grow and succeeded in future. This will further help me to undertake
calculations and measurements in an effective manner at work place.
Insights which I get to know after starting the process
HR practices: I analysed that HR functions such as recruitment, selection, motivation,
training and more are crucial to manage work force effectively (Mills and Gay, 2019). There are
several activities are performed by Human resource managers to maintain positive environment
at work place. Here, proper orientation need to arrange for new employees so that they get
familiar with working conditions.
Marketing: At the time of higher education, I also monitored that marketing is a vital
business function which derives sales and revenue for organisation. It helps to attract as well as
retain buyers with organization for longer period of time. I identified that there are several
advertisement & promotional tools which are helpful to promote product & services at wide
level.
Therefore, learning is a crucial part of life that is helps to develop necessary skills and
potential which are essential to progress in career. An individual need to indulge in learning new
and creative skills to grab the opportunities of success that may occur in future.
Improvement in confidence
Confidence: Confidence is a feeling which comes when an individuals have some
additional capabilities and potential which distinct them from others. During this project, I got
several opportunities to develop necessary skills and abilities such as communication, time
management, analytical skills and more. These all skills bring new opportunities for me to
explore in professional career. Here, I witnessed several hardships during project which prepared

me for future barriers & constraints. In this way, project proved helpful for me in terms of
increasing my confidence level.
Future perspective
There are several skills have been developed at the time of project which will assist me to
enhance future performance. Here, I got exponential communication skill that will help me to
interact with my peers in an efficient manner. In addition, I also got great time management
skills from project which is crucial to manage time effectively. I can use these potential to
perform better at work place and progress in future career. Therefore, all these competencies can
be used to grab the opportunities of success in upcoming years.
TASK 2
While performing project, I analysed that there are some areas in which I am lacking and
need improvement to enhance my future performance (Colombo, Pansera and Owen, 2019).
These loopholes may restrict my performance thus I decided to develop an action plan to deal
with which is mentioned as under:

organisation to meet with job roles. Job description is designed to get a suitable person for job
opening within company. The current advertisement includes certain types of job specialist that
will require bachelors degree from a renowned university (Chongwony, Gardner and Tope,
2020).
After studying job description, I analysed that there are several skills and potential such as
presentation and communication skills, creativity, passion, negotiation, time management are
required to perform job role in better manner. In addition, some additional skills such as
attractive personality, result orientation, higher technical knowledge & expertise are also
required for current job description. Some skill that are essential for present job role are given as

some crucial abilities need to acquire in order to explore in career. Discussion has been carried
out regarding job description and abilities which are required to perform various job roles and
