Introduction
Skill development is one of the most important aspect for completion of any project or
assignment. It is very important for the individual that it develop their knowledge and enhance
their personal traits so that they will not face any difficulty in future. Skills and knowledge acts
as weapon which protect the individuals from challenges and problems in their personal and
professional life. This report contains personal reflection on the development of different skills
while completing the assessment-1.
Task
Task one (25 marks) Having worked as part of the team solving your client’s business problem,
this task requires you to reflect on the process and evaluate your learning and your skills
development. For example,
 One of the most important and valuable skill which I develop while performing this
project is communication skills. Communication skills is related to those skills which
enables they individual to interact with other persons. Communication skills is the
basic requirement for any job as well as business. It helps me to impress my
interviewer and also helps me to interact with other cliques of mine in the work place.
It also helps me to attract the customer towards the product of the company because
of effective spoken language and attractive way of talking and presentation of
company’s product in front of customers. The another skill which is developed in my
personality is the time management skills. Time management skills plays an
important role in the life of mine because it enables me to be punctual and also
complete all the assignment on time before their deadline. It is not easy to develop
these skills because it requires proper planning and strict execution.
 One of the major thing which I don’t know before I started this project which is
formal style of writing. It is related to those writing style which is used by formal
institution, business organisation and other formal organisation. It is not possible for
anyone to improve their communication skills without taking a knowledge of formal
style of writing. Under this style of writing a prefixed structure of report are to be

followed by writer and also fixed hierarchy. It is not possible for me to develop these
skills without the knowledge of this style of writing. I find many difficulties to
develop these skills in me because there are many barriers which I have to face in this
project is time barrier, emotional barrier and attitude barrier. These difficulties will be
changed into easy as t time goes and skills are developed in me.
 At the time when I started this project my level of confidence is very low because of
lack of knowledge and skills in my personality. My morale was down as I am not
performing this type of task in my life. It is very hectic and difficulty for me to start
this project because the barriers which I mentioned above restricts me to perform this
type of project. All the sense of mine demotivate me to take this project because of
lack of knowledge skills and confidence. But one mentor has told me to perform this
project. She said to me they analyse skills in me for the completion of this project and
also the potential and calibre. As the time goes, started to research different type of
protect and action plans for the completion of this project, I develop different skills in
my personality such as communication skills, time management skills and also the
skills needed for the completion of project. When these skills are fully developed in
me I feel confident to perform this project. At the time when I personally completed
this project, the level of confidence is high in me and are ready to perform other
project as well. This is only possible for me on the basis of efforts and hard work.
 One of the most important skill which is developed in my personality is leadership
skills. It is the quality of a person to influence the behaviours and attitude of the other
person achieve the goals and objectives effectively. It is said in past time that leaders
are born not made but this phrase proved wrong by many examples under which the
person develop leadership quality in their personality with the help of practise and
hard work. The most important and well known example of this is Jeff Bezos. He is
founder and chairman of Amazon, they belong from poor family which does not have
any leadership background. Bezos has developed their skills in practising in their
business organisation and also their headwork. Now he is one of the greatest leader of
the world and also manage huge organisation with their autocratic leadership style. I
personally developed leadership skill in my personality by a way of developing
communication skills in me. Communication skills in one of the primary requirement

to become successful leader because it attract the followers towards the leader and
also makes them, able to express their ideas promises and opinions. This leadership
skill also helps me to manage the employees in the organisation if I hold any
managerial position in future. It also makes my resume attractive in front of others.
Task two (10 marks) Identify 3 skills that you need improvement on for you to be
successful in your business career. Propose a plan of action for filling these gaps/developing
