INTRODUCTION
Skills and knowledge plays vital role when task have to be completed successfully. This
report will discuss skills which are developed by carrying project. Further will discuss that how
learning will enhance future career and also find out gap where future development is needed.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
Skills which has developed as the result of the project.
When I was working on the project of the client I developed many skills which are as
follows:
effective communication:
Communication is the vital part in project. As from project starting to project end
communication is must. I realised that communication will be effective only if there will be no
communication barrier. As communication barrier will lead to confusion and which can further
results in conflicts (7 Essential Skills for Project Managers., 2019). Earlier my communication
skills were not that much good but while doing the project I need to communicate with many
people and this has built my communication skills. I realised that for successful completion of
project effective communication is must.
Time management:
Time management is one of the important skills. While carrying project I learnt that if I assigned
time to every activity them project will finish at the right time. Planning is necessary before
starting any project. Planning will tell that what are the priority of the project and what resources
are required so that project will finish st right time.
Leadership:
While carrying the project I have to manage team and I leant that how teams are managed in
effective manner so that goals can be achieved. I had given direction to the team members and

also motivate them so that they work hard and their productivity also increases. I use certain
leadership styles and realise that if team has to lead effectively their coordination and
cooperation is very important (Bylund and et.al., 2018).
Things and skills which are come to know while carrying project.
I come to know that all projects are not same. While starting this project I have thinking
that every project is same but after I done this project I realised that every project have different
requirements and which have to be fulfilled differently. All the clients are not similar and every
project require different planning. I also realised that every project cannot be performed by me.
Each and every project is different and require certain knowledge and skills. I realised that I have
to develop some skills and then only I can successful complete this project. I came to know the
importance of technical expertise while carrying the project. Understanding of software is
helpful in fast completion of project and also project gets completed effectively.
Project requires many things like managing budgets, resources etc. and for that technical skills
are required. If I have good knowledge and skills to use the software then it will also help me in
saving lot of time and efforts (Jiang and et.al., 2018). Earlier I was not knowing that problem
solving skills are that much important. While doing the project I came to know that problem
solving plays vital role while carrying project. Projects are associated with problems and
sometimes you have to face complex problem but if have problem solving skills then will not
face difficulty in doing project. Problem will no longer become barrier.
Extent to which level of confidence improved.
My confidence level has increased very much. I had communicated with many people
while doing the project. Earlier I was shy in talking with strangers. But while doing the project I
have to communicate with different parties and this has really helped me in boosting my
confidence level. In the confidence factor out of 10 I can rate myself 8. skills which I had
developed like leadership, time management etc. has also helped me in improvising confidence
level. I released that knowledge also plays vital role in increasing confidence. I gain knowledge
while doing project and this has increased my confidence.
Using learning in the future career
In my future career I will get advantages because while doing project I had developed
multiple skills. I want to become marketing manager and for that having strong communication
skills are required. Through the project I improved my verbal as well as written communication

skills. I can include my achievements in my resume which will help me in getting good salary
and position in the company. Example, leadership skills which I developed will also help me
because in future If I have to manage the team then I can effectively manage it because I know
how to motivate workforce so that their productivity can be increased. Example, Time
management will also help me.
In the future, I will able to manage time and will not waste time which causes delay in the
project. Time management will become asset for me and this skill will definitely help in for
longer period in my career. Problem solving skills and technical skills will also be helpful.
Although I didn't know the importance of these skills earlier but know I understand that having
such skills will improvise your value (Li, Pyrkova and Ryabova, 2017). I also realised that focus
is also important. Every activity of task should have given important value because failure of
single activity can lead to failure of complete project.
TASK 2
Three skills where improvements are needed so to become successful in career.
Teamwork:
teamwork is essential if wanted to successful complete the project. Teamwork helps employees
to work effectively by helping each other. Teamwork also helps in bridging gaps so that can stop
delay in completion of project. I have to build teamwork skills because it will help me in excel
my career. If I build teamwork then I can achieve success in my career because nowadays every
organization hire those employees only which have teamwork skills. As in organization task or
project have to be done in the team so teamwork skills will eliminate conflicts among the team.
Effective teamwork will motivate employees and also increase employee morale. I have to see
team as an important thing because individual cannot achieve objectives of company. Team of
employees can only achieve company's goals.
Risk management:
risk management helps in identifying future risk so that measures can be taken to avoid or
manage it. If risks are identified earlier only then while carrying out project I will not face any
issues. Although risks are uncertain but identifying at earlier stage can helpful in making the
project flexible (Ammentorp and et.al., 2021). Sometimes risks are so major that it can cause
project failure but knowing about it earlier can help to mitigate the risks. Risk management skills
is not easy. It takes time and experience to build it. I had decided that I will consider every

possible risk because any small risk can be converted into big risk. No risks should be neglected
while managing the risk. Risk management skills will definitely help me in enhancing my career.
It increases employee engagement and experience.
Negotiation skills:
Another skill is the negotiation skill which I have to develop so that effective career can be built.
Negotiation is required because I communicate with multiple person which include suppliers,
team and manage resources (Tabatabaei and et.al., 2017). Negotiation power will help
organization in getting more profit. Example, if through my negotiation skills I can able to
negotiate with supplier and reduced prices of raw materials then profit margin of finished goods
will increase. There are different negotiation styles which can be applied depending on the
situation. In this competitive world big companies higher those employees who have good
negotiation skills because that can help company in terms of profit.

Through this report it can be concluded that communication skills, leadership skills etc.
are developed. Problem solving skills are need to be developed. This report has also analysed
that how confidence has increased and three skills where gaps are identified and report has also
evaluated action plan.
