continental shifts in consumer rates in
several markets. The shift of consumer
originates from the term hyper-growth of
consumers. The term represents a super
demand of commodities rising from
population which continues to bulge every

other suitable supply chain to ensure goods
are available for consumption in their own
countries. The shift in global dynamics and
changes in internal processes is compelling
retailers, producers, and manufacturers to
challenge the normal norm and formulate

problem
The total population in Asia is estimated to be
about 2.5 billion individuals and is set to multiple
every coming year (Saslavsky, 2014)
The increase in demand for commodities in Asia
has led to a hyper market for commodities. The
global supply chain has been affected both up
stream and lower streams.
Based on consumption shifts in today global
market the manufacturers have to continue
adopting quicker supply chain strategies. The
challenge is on which suitable strategies or
approaches can be adopted to tackle the problem.

The study will then aim to establish strategies
for global supply chain that can be used to
manage the hyper-growth of consumer markets
in Asia. Then the study will be guided by the

The study will employ qualitative approach in
the study. Documentary review research
design will be used in order to provide
explanation of objects being investigated by
the study (Kothari, 2012).
Secondary data will be collected from various
sources to give meaning to the study. The
secondary data collected from books, credible
magazines, and peer reviewed journals.

ensure relevant content are selected for the
study from the secondary sources.
