Determination of concept and scope of Consumer Rights Act,2015
The Consumer Right Act states that all products and services provided to consumers
should be of good and high quality. This Act helps in consolidating the existing consumer
protection law legislation and provides several rights and remedies to consumers. This Act was
introduced to the Parliament by Jo Swinson MP on 23rd January 2014. The various legislations
which are included in this Consumer Act are Unfair Terms in Contracts Regulations 1999,
Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977, Sale of Good Act 1979 and Supply of Goods and Services Act
1982. The concept of The Consumer's Protection Act is that it will help the consumers to get
good products and services. This will help the companies to take care of consumers rights and
protection in purchasing any product. Basically the Consumers Protection Act consists of various
definitions for a consumer. According to this act, a consumer is a person who has a purpose for
individual trade, craft, business or profession. This Act states that goods should be able to
provide satisfaction to customers, they must be fit to the purpose of consumer and defective
goods should not be given to people1. Such products must be given back to the retailer within 30
days. The digital content which includes software, videos and goods related to software should
not harm system of any individual or customer. If there is any case when the system is damaged
or broken it is the right of consumer to get it replaced or repaired. The services offered to
consumers must be given with care and skill. The Consumer Protection Act is an important Act
that helps individuals to protect them against any harmful or threatening service or product. The
concept of this Act is simple i.e. to provide effective services and products to people so that there
is minimum case of customer dissatisfaction and different companies are able to sell their
products to customers in a proper manner. The scope of this Act is that this helps it will help in
overall effectiveness of the market including consumers as well as retailers, suppliers and
manufacturers. If consumers are not happy with any service or product they have the right to take
action against the retailer or shopkeeper and ask him to provide refund or replace the product.
This Act is abide by the Government of all countries for maintaining harmony at marketplace.
Determining customer expectation in relation to product quality
A customer expectation is defined as the perceived benefits or value which a customer
seek while buying a product or experiencing ant service. These are defied as the result of
learning process and this is an important factor for any industry to know what are the actual

demands of different customers. It is important for various organisations to analyse the demands
and needs of consumers for giving them good services and products. The branded products are
related with high quality. All customers expect that all brand products and services are of higher
quality and this is the reason for new brands to launch their product in market. This can be
explained with an example if a person is given a choice to buy a mobile phone from a well
known brand of UK or from brand of China then definitely the person will choose the mobile
phone of the UK's brand. All the successful companies have to meet the expectation of customer
in providing quality product or service. The satisfaction of customer is increased by enhancing
the value or product or service. It is obvious that if a person is planning to buy a product then he
will consider quality of that product2. Thus it is important for every industry and company to
make quality products and effective services to consumers so that value and image of company
will be increased. This affects the decision making of consumer while purchasing any product.
The branded products are most preferred by people as they are associated with high quality
material and service. Product quality is an important factor that helps in increasing the number of
customers of a specific product or brand.
Determination of importance of this Act in Sales of Goods law and what are the post
implementation effect after consolidation
According to the Sale of Goods Act there is regulation of contracts for selling of goods
and products. There are several functions of this Act and buyer is an individual who wants to buy
any product or avail a service. A contract of sale of good is defined as a legal contract that is
prepared while exchange of services, goods or property between a buyer and a seller. This
contract includes all details about prices, quality and period of warranty of the product or service.
The sales of goods Act is a most common transaction and this act is applied to all contracts by
which a seller and buyers are aims to control their relationship. The Contract of Sales is a
contract in which seller agrees to transfer the goods or services to a particular buyer at a fixed
price. In a contract when there is a transfer of goods between seller and buyer then contract is
known as sale but on the other hand when there is occurrence of transfer of property then
contract is defined as “agreement to sell”. A contract for sale of specific goods is only void when
the seller has knowledge about the goods offered to the customer. After the consolidation regime
has been delivered efficiently and there is improvement in tax system of the country. There is

difficulties. Thus resources must be allocated effectively for proper care and maintenance of the
regime. A formal recognition must be done for using business acquisition approach in the
consolidation core rules with history rule that is associated with treatment of assets that are
transferred to a consolidated group.
