Answer to Question 1
Motivation is needed to ensure the employment’s needs and promote the employee to work
efficiently through satisfying their needs, supporting and appreciating their work. Due to
generational difference in the workplace, the needs of the employees are very different, thus it was
very difficult for the management to identify the needs of the employees. For, example, the US’s
labor force consists of four generations of workers, thus affect the management in motivation, as
the management feels difficult to identify the common needs of the employee, on the basis of
which the point of motivation will be determined (Koster, 2017).
Answer to Question 2
There are total five generations, namely traditionalists, baby boomers, Gen X, Millennial
and Gen Z, where all generations have different needs, and hence have different motivations. The
major difference is in terms of cultural environment in the workplace, because different generations
follows different tradition. There are also other differences in motivation for different generations,
such as Gen X can be motivated by flexible schedules, and benefits; traditionalist can be motivated
by job title and money; baby boomers can be motivated by huge responsibility and perks;
millennial can be motivated by trainings; and the Gen Z can be motivated by social rewards,
constant feedback and mentorship (Lyons & Kuron, 2014).

There are also a number of similarities in motivation, which motivates all the generations of
employees in the workplace. One of the important similarity is effective leadership, as it motivates
each every employee in achieving their professional goals. Appreciation and recognition is
something that every employee wants in a workplace, which builds confidence in the employee to
accept challenges and put more effort in the work. The other most general motivation is work life
balance. Every employee wants a balance in their work life and their personal life. The last and
least motivation is debt and saving, where the management should provide necessary savings such

as provident fund and debt to ensure the financial wellness of the employee (Lyons & Kuron,
2014).
Answer to Question 4
Job enrichment means making the employee participate in the high rank management
decision. In the container store the employees are provided more training than that of other
industry, and thus this training helps the employee to develop themselves in terms of skill and this
training helps in building experience in the field. Hence the company provides too much of training
they have better understanding of the employee’s capability and hence they take their feedback and
opinion accordingly, while making extreme decisions. Thus the employee can take part in
managerial functions of the higher rank and thus the chance of job enrichment will significantly
increase (Duffield, 2014).
Answer to Question 5
As mentioned by the Container store, the Company have a 5 minute huddle every morning
for the employees of the organization. Huddles is a great medium of communication and
understanding. Introduction of the daily huddle meetings in an organization, is a great way to
elevate productivity, team morale and accountability. The daily huddle meetings in Container store
is done with the purpose to provide daily motivation to start your work efficiently and finish it
effectively. In the meeting also feedbacks from the employees are taken, and opinions are also
considered before making crucial decision, and in that way, it also helps in job enrichment. Hence,
the 5 minute huddle in the Container store is significantly useful (Koster, 2017).
Answer to Question 6
The Concept of conscious capitalism is the concept where that refers to the business that
meets the interests of all the key stakeholders of the company including the customers, investors,
employees, suppliers and the environment also (Mackey & Sisodia, 2014). Mr. Kip Tindell, the

same time, by increasing the efficiency of the employee to generate sales. The company can
