INTRODUCTION
Hospitality industry is a wide field in business which offers desirable services to its
customers. This industry lads its main emphasis on enhancing the experience of customers by
satisfying their desired needs and requirements. This sector is very different from other business
industries as it heavily relies on free time and discretionary incomes (Bontis, Janošević and
Dženopoljac, 2015). This assignment is based on Hilton hotel which is a global brand offering
full service resorts and hotels to its customers. It was established in 1919 and headquartered in
Virginia, US. At present, company is successfully operating at 85 countries across six continents.
This report will cover an overview and explanation of various sectors associated with hospitality
along with products and services offered by them. Beside this, a PESTLE analysis will be carried
out in respect with hospitality industry. Also, a SWOT analysis will be performed in respect with
chosen organisation. At last, current and potential trends associated with hospitality industry are
mentioned in a detailed manner.

Hospitality industry is one of the biggest industry in every nation, because of its diverse
structure and focus on fulfilling customer needs and wants on an optimised basis. Almost, 38
percent of the people in entire UK are connected with this industry, irrespective of sector such as
travels & tourism, hotel, restaurant, entertainment etc. Entire UK is very popular around the
world with major cities such as London, Manchester, Edinburgh and also Scotland and north
Ireland etc. These location are being blessed with its natural beauty and attraction, which has led
higher tourism and hospitality business (Brotherton, 2012).
Hospitality industry is not only a single entity, but it has different other sectors such as
travels & tourism, hotels or guest house, mortals, food & beverages etc. This sector covers a
broad range of companies which offers accommodation and food services. This entire industry is
divided into different sectors in accordance with the skill set which is required to perform
business operations. Sectors associated with hospitality involves entertainment, gaming,
recreation, visitor information, meeting and events, accommodation, tourism service, visitor
information etc. Different sectors associated with Hospitality industry are mentioned below:

Lodging-Accommodation: This sector in hospitality industry involves luxurious hotels,
camp-grounds and lavish resorts. Accommodation is considered as a wide sector in hospitality. It
ranges from bed and breakfast to other facilities which are needed by individuals during
accommodations. To make this sector more thriving, excellent customer service & facilities
along with high quality amenities must be offered to the guests so that their desire and
requirements can be fulfilled in an appropriate manner. There are some other sectors in
hospitality which overlaps with this lodging and accommodation sector such as transportation
and food category. Different kinds of hotel accommodations are stated beneath:
Resorts: These are the most popular kind of accommodation sites for holiday makers and
travellers. These staying places are integrated with natural beauty and provides the guests
& customers rest from their daily lifestyle routine (Dimitropoulos, 2018).
Suites: Other than general rooms and lodges to stay, hotels also offers luxurious suites to
the guests and visitors. These suits are more appropriate for business class and formal
stays as they are very expensive as compared with the regular room services.
