1CONTEMPORARY HEALTH CARE
Contemporary health care refers to the process of the health care with a more
integrated approach and providing health care with utmost priority to the patient’s health. The
contemporary health care can be referred as the advanced approach of the health care system
to provide better support to the patients and their family members (Anderson et al.). In order
to provide improved care to the patients American Health Care Association (AHCA)
developed certain strategies including the patients and family centered approach, satisfaction
of the health care staffs and evidence based safe quality care providence to the patients
(Ahcancal.org). All these strategies primarily require advance instrument, advance and
quality care setup and knowledgeable care providers. Hence, the requirement of the financial
aspect can be highlighted as the primary issue for the organizations. On the other hand
availability of the health care staffs who has immense knowledge and also proper experience
in providing care to the patients with critical or chronic disease. However, the health care
facilities nowadays face the immense surge of patients as in present days the population and
the number of disease is rising in an exponential way. Based on this context it can be
highlighted that the factor of the contemporary care facility is hampered by the inadequate
health care staffs, financial issues as the global economy is not stable and the inadequate
knowledge of the health care staffs with lack of competences to address all the issues of the
patients affect the contemporary health care (Oortwijn and Gert). On this context it can also
be stated that the contemporary health care has to be focused on the patient’s health
conditions and also focusing on providing quality care to the patient. This process will lead to
the improvement of the patient’s condition and also the customer satisfaction. Hence, the
requirement of the proper communication skills, leadership skills and the knowledge of the
emergency care providence is required among the nurses among with the cultural competence
as the growing population is comprised with multicultural citizens. However, the context of
the contemporary care is hampered by the issue of the lack of knowledge of the nurses

primarily. Hence, the knowledge development process for the nurses should be developed by
the health care organizations also required to be considered in order to address the issue
properly. Thus the requirement of the proper amount of health care educators and more
importantly financial investment is required. On this context it can easily be seen that the
process of contemporary health care is hampered by primarily affected by three factors
including the lack of knowledge and adequate amount of health care staff in the health care
setting and financial support for the health care organizations.
Based on the above issues it can be identified that the health care organizations of
USA also face all these issues. Hence, the three organizations of the country can be found to
with all these issues namely American Hospital Association, Independent Physician
Association, and Physicians and National Health Program. In order to provide contemporary
and advance health care to the patients the American Hospital Association focus on above
mentioned strategies however, the staff and patient ratio is the primary challenge for the
association to provide quality care (American Hospital Association). On the other hand the
Independent Physician Association face challenges regarding the financial aspect and also the
number of staffs to attend all the patients (Aafp.org). Moreover, Physicians and National
Health Program focuses on the reformation of the health care setting of the country and it has
been seen that this organization face different political and legislative issues (PNHP). The
organization provide health care support to the patients however, the increasing price of drugs
and health care instruments pose as the threat for the reformation of health care setting
program of the organization. Hence, it can be stated that the factor of the financial, political
and also the inadequate staffing are the aspects that affected the process of the contemporary
health care in USA organization of health care. On the other hand the health care quality
should also be developed with more focus for the betterment of the care facility. Hence, it can
be stated that challenges faced by the health care organizations namely American Hospital

Association, Independent Physician Association, and Physicians and National Health
Program needs to be assessed with adequate research and also to recommend the changes that
can help in sustainability of the condition. Based on this discussion it can also be stated that
