INTRODUCTION
The current situations of health is been provided by a contemporary health issues. The
issues of health and social are the issues of public interests and they may be influence by various
factors. The level of obese is reinducing in the UK. This is the current issues that is faced by UK
population (Emerson and Baines, 2015). About 30% of people comes in the category obese .
In this report the different techniques that can be used for dissemination information related to
health and social care will be analysed. The role of media to influence the attitudes and
behaviour of people in health and social care issues will also be explained. Further more in this
report research will be done on different perspective relating to health and social care. The
validity of public attitudes will also be analysed in this report. The consequences of
contemporary thinking for health and social care provision and services will also be justified in
this report.

2.1 The influence of media on the attitude and behaviour
In order to deliver ideas for people media can be used. If the people are already involved
in a negative behaviour then with use of media thy can be made understand the need of
behavioural change (Arora and Taheri, S., 2013). In order to gather information television is well
-known method. By the using televisions the instruction on health issues can be delivered. While
giving ideas to people for prevention the programs need to be telecast that shows the negative
impact of obesity ,many diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes can be caused from it.
Among the people the awareness regarding staying fit and unhealthy can be made through
educational campaigns, inert , mobile devices and leaflets (Eckersley, 2015).

2.2 The reliability and validity of media information about health and social care
Health and social care system assist a combine the society together. The centre the major reason
behind establishing stability among in country. Whereas, media plays vital role in spreading
awareness about the diseases and its impacts. Currently obesity has become the major point of
discussion due to unhealthy eating habits if people around the world (Goisis, Sacker and Kelly,
2015.). The media activities alter the entire health programmes and policies with their
activities. Further, information from media to society about health care centre is reliable as the
media activities are consumer focused and are valid because the communication through media
to make individuals aware about their right and health care activities. Apparently, media plays
a negative role in passing information through advisement because the attractive food
advertisement attract the attention of consumers due to which the individual do no consider
their health and eat according to taste. The communication created by food companies through
advertisement with buyers is the major reason behind increasing impact of Obesity (Landsberg,
Aronne and Sowers, 2013). On the other hand now the government policies have formulated
strict regulations by concerning with health care that now no food item will be advertised
without the label of nutrient content in food and beverage. Further, to support this, the media is
now becoming more focused on spreading awareness about the increasing impact of obesity
and for the health care centre have joined the process in which the doctors are making people
awareness about the diet routine and food consumption required for the particular generation
group (Flegal, Carroll and Ogden, 2012). Hence, according to the increasing awareness about
nutrients and additives in food and beverage it has been determined that the information about
health and social care centre is reliable and viable as it is focused on promoting social welfare
by increasing the impact of obesity in society.

4.1 Analysis of local attitudes which found at a national level
National authorities enhanced various policies and programmes in order to make local
people aware about the healthy dietary routines to reduce the impact of Obesity from the society
(Flegal, Carroll and Ogden, 2012). In accordance to nutrient diets and products launched by
National authority for local people it has been determined that people from backwards areas and
under poverty line do not prefer changing their eating habits because according to them the diet

and medication of these people is controlled and people can not afford the diet chart set by
national authority. Whereas, there are people who are becoming more concern with the
increasing awareness about the healthy diet programs. Apart from this there are people who do
not consider the healthy eating habits as for them taste is the only thing which matters.
Therefore, the government policies are becoming more strict in order to establish control over
eating habits. Now, the local suppliers are bound to label the ingredients used to prepare
particular food and beverage with amount of content (Flegal, Carroll and Curtin, 2010.). This
practice has created revolution as now the obese population in society is becoming more concern
as people started checking the nutrients content in food item before eating and buying.
Moreover, to control the increase impact of obesity the national authorities have to more strict
with regard to local food and beverage suppliers because there are various situation which people
who do not bother considering the additives because of taste (Swinburn, Sack and Gortmaker,
2011).
4.2 The validity of public attitudes and behaviours towards increasing impact of Obesity.
Over the past few years thee society is turning overweight and is considered in obese
population. Impacts of obesity is increasing continuously due to changing eating habits of
people. Attitude and behavior of people completely depends upon the awareness in society about
the impacts, causes and healthy eating habits (Hesketh and Campbell, 2010). It is become
important for the government and health care centre to spread awareness in society about the
dietary routines to make people more concern about their health and problems. The behaviours
of society is majorly impacted by the advertisement created to attract people towards different
types of food items. Therefore, now the spreading awareness about obesity has succeeded in
influencing the behaviors of people. People are changing their food habits but it takes time to
manipulate the behavior of society (Use of mass media campaigns to change health behaviour,
2017). Further, to influence the behaviors of people the government is now focused on launching
health care programmes in which the health care practitioners promote the dietary routine and
prescription to people according to their specified age group. Hence, increasing impact of
obesity has affected the major population due to which now the people are becoming focused on
the issues and are changing their eating habits. The change in behaviors and attitude of society
has been noticed by the increasing participation in physical activities and marathons organized
by government to promote awareness about health issues. In addition, the decline the buying and

eating habits of society is the major change which demonstrate the effectiveness of government
programs and policies (Hesketh and Campbell, 2010).
4.3 Consequences of contemporary thinking for health and social care provision and
services
According to contemporary thinking over health and social care it has been determined
that the major issued faced by the society in increasing impact of obesity. The obesity in society
is determined by individuals body mass index and according to thinking it has been analysed that
the major causes of obese populations are, changing food habits, increasing food chains,
declining in cooking skills and decline in physical exercises (Landsberg, Aronne and Sowers,
2013). On the other hand, the steps taken by government to prevent obesity from society
represents the contemporary thinking like, change for life programme, improved pack labelling
system, inclusion of calorie formation etc. All these programmes and policies by government are
enhanced to control the impact of health diseases which arise due to unhealthy eating habits
(Zomer and Finer, 2017). Hence, the thinking denoted the media and its impacts like, the
advertising of food attracts the consumer which influence the eating habits of people but now the
health and social care has launched strict policies in which the food and beverage advertisement
need to focus on appropriate labeling in order to make society aware about the content and
additive added in food items.

Thus summing up the above report it can be concluded that in health care service the
contemporary thinking has caused many developments. And changes in provision against
obesity. By using many resources the information in health care context is created. In order to
distributing the knowledge and changing the behaviour of people towards obesity medial have
played a major role.
